I'm McKenna and at Alder & Pine, I specialize in candid and emotive wedding photography. I love the energy of every special moment that comes with weddings. The perfect day begins with you; your originality, taste, and style which inspires everything that I do. I strive to illustrate your love story through my lens, providing you with a beautiful collection of images

My style can be described as candid, timeless and romantic. Myself and my team will document the genuine in between moments that happen throughout your wedding day. My style is more photojournalistic for the getting ready, ceremony and reception coverage. I am happy to help guide you with prompts during your bridal portraits to bring out your chemistry and dynamic while making sure you both are comfortable and captured at the most flattering angles. After the wedding I edit with timeless true to color edits. Rich in true color images that you will enjoy for years to come.

    I don’t know if I can adequately express how absolutely in love I am with the wedding photos McKenna (and her associate, Kymber) did for my (now) husband and I. I will forever sing her praises because of how immensely professional, kind, sweet, and talented she is. My spouse and I decided that we wanted to elope in Glacier National Park, and had a fairly short engagement leading up to the day. Though we had been to Glacier a few times before, we weren’t entirely familiar with which locations would be best for photos and ceremony sites. McKenna was so great and patient walking us through possible locations and recommendations on the phone months before our wedding. She’s so knowledgeable about the area, we always felt like we were in good hands with her. McKenna also stayed in contact throughout our engagement and was great at touching base to ensure we were all on the same page. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had the perfect day logistically as well as aesthetically. The day of our wedding was filled with intermittent rain, which McKenna took in absolute stride. She was so positive and bubbly, and we barely noticed the rain and cold. She was also great at giving instructions for poses, but also incredible at capturing candid moments (my favorite). My spouse and I are not at all confident in posing or taking photos, and to be perfectly honest, I even wondered several times during the wedding planning phase if I should not have a photographer for my wedding at all because I didn’t know if I’d love the photos. I’M SO GLAD I DID. I feel nothing but joy looking though these photos. McKenna’s photography style is bright and timeless, and captures all of the love that I have for my spouse and for that day as a whole. McKenna is incredible and one of the best photographers I’ve had the pleasure of working with. So, if you’re considering working with McKenna for your wedding- just do it already. She’s really such a gem and you’ll be so glad you did.

    We searched for our photographer for 6 months, interviewing almost 40 companies/people. We had 4 more interviews set up the day we met with McKenna. She was the second interview of the night and during our call, she answered all of our questions with ease. Adam and I looked at each other and knew we had found our Photographer within minutes of chatting with her. Best wedding decision we could have made! Our wedding day, did not go how we planned. Our day was filled with sideways rain (it was so bad that there were road closures due to flooding), our coordinator was over 2 hours late due to the weather and my hair and makeup team was also super late. Through out all of the bumps and disappointments- McKenna kept our spirits high, found the cutest Airbnb that allowed us to move locations for the day and approved our small group of 15 to come celebrate the wedding at their property. We embraced the rain and held our Ceremony at Two Medicine as planned- The pictures are beyond anything I could have hoped for! Our excitement and love story was documented so beautifully that all the stresses melted away. McKenna followed us back to the Airbnb and even surprised us with some quick previews while we all dried off and continued our celebration. If I could do it all again- I'd hire McKenna 100 times over. Our day was filled with laughter, love and all things wonderful and my whole family agrees that McKenna's positivity was what helped us all embrace the crazy of the day with pure joy. Best investment and I truly can't say enough amazing things about this lady. Hire her.

    We eloped last year in GNP and McKenna made the whole process so incredibly easy. We knew from the initial consultation that she was it for us. McKenna is so knowledgeable and kind and fun! Not only are our photos stunning but she helped guide us through the day with ease- capturing so many wonderful little moments. We can’t wait to come back to MT and explore with McKenna some more!

    My husband and I got married last year and are renewing our vows this year. McKenna documented our first wedding and will be also document our public renewal. We are not picture people, but McKenna made it so easy and fun. The planning process was seamless and we absolutely love our wedding pictures. Highly recommend Alder and Pine, we look forward to many milestones being documented by McKenna.
