I’m Katie, a South Carolina-based elopement and wedding photographer, servicing the areas of Wilmington, NC, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Hilton Head, Savannah, GA, and other incredible destinations like Montana and the PNW! I provide a timeless, authentic, and in-the-moment approach to photographing your wedding. With a mix of documentary and editorial wedding photography styles, I capture the day as it unfolds and provide direction when needed, giving you a diverse and unique gallery. I believe your wedding photos are an artistic representation of your relationship and what makes your love feel like you.

I genuinely love weddings, and in the least cliché way possible, photographing couples is more than a job to me, so I put all of my skill, creativity, and passion into my work. From advice giver, to dress fluffer, to someone to shed tears with while you read your vows, I am a part of all it, celebrating right beside you. Your day truly matters to me, as does the relationship we establish in the process. It’s not just another wedding.

    I had a boudoir photo shoot done as a wedding gift to my husband. Katie was amazing to work with. She made me feel confident and comfortable during my photo shoot.     I couldn’t recommend Lone Peak Photography aka Katie more – I’ve told everyone I can, in every state, how amazing she is and her quality photography. From the moment I first spoke to her I knew she cared. I didn’t have family support to plan my wedding so Katie, a total stranger at the time, stepped in and helped me plan the wedding of my dreams. She was a constant support, easy to communicate with, flexible and helped lift my spirits when the wedding stress was getting to me. She took the time to get to know me and knowing someone understood my vision calmed my nerves. She was mindful of our tight budget and made a plan to capture our key moments. She has a talent for being both professional and genuine. I felt taken care of, especially on our wedding day when things always seem to be hectic and our timeline got a bit wonky. I knew I was in good hands and Katie directed everyone with confidence. She really knows how to capture the real emotion of the day, capturing gorgeous candids and ‘posed’ photos that really feel natural. One of my favorites was when she had us look into a loved one’s eyes- that look you share between you is so special and really shines with Katie’s photography. She wasn’t afraid to get silly with us which made things even more fun. She truly has an artist’s eye, even with the ‘little touches’ photos I couldn’t stop looking at them. I'm not someone who views themselves as beautiful and she made me feel so beautiful. She listened when I talked about insecurities and a favored side for photos. I thought I would have a few I liked of myself but I loved them all! She also wasn’t afraid to take a few editing requests which I appreciated immensely. The quality of her photos is unmatched. I enjoy that it’s really me, crisp beautiful colors like real life in HD without over done filters or unneeded editing. Lighting and scene framing really highlighted the beauty of the day and the happiness of the subjects. Just when the high of the actual wedding started to fade, Katie had sneak peaks ready the next day! I couldn’t believe it, it really brightened our day and calmed any anxiety that I wouldn’t be ‘photogenic’. She’s also great with animals – we incorporated our pets in our day and they are some of the best photos I’ve ever seen of our furry boys and you can see our love for them. I will for sure be working with Katie again, there are so many things I want to do. Family portraits, anniversary, more silly photos, I can’t wait. You won’t regret choosing Katie for any special day! :)
