Something Savory is a chef owned and operated catering company specializing in exceptional food and extraordinary service. We are a full service catering and event planning company-providing services for weddings, corporate luncheons, dinner parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, and everything in between. Whether you need a sandwich platter for 20 people or a barbecue for 2,000, Something Savory will help you create the perfect event.

Sample catered weddings

Julie wanted a Formal English Tea, but without being stuffy and with the addition of some food from her husband's native South Africa. The venue lent itself beautifully to this endeavor. We created one gorgeous large table that was the centerpiece of the tent with the tea foods. We created a separate smaller buffet table with the South African treats. There was space for wandering, sitting, dancing. Gorgeous day for a gorgeous couple. Theirs is a true love story!

    Jodi catered our wedding reception at the Arlington Town Hall in June 2023. Through all the planning, she made great recommendations for both the food and entire layout. For starters, she created a delicious menu accommodating over a dozen allergies. The dessert pies that she recommended from a local bakery were amazing. Jodi was very easy to work with. She gave good advice on the floor plans and was very patient with us when we made multiple changes to the seating arrangement and table sizes. Her team setup our DIY decorations and made the reception hall beautiful. And the staff were a delight to work with. Among the lovely reception, and our guests enjoying the meals, did we enjoy the food on our wedding day? Of course not! Why? Because you don’t eat on your wedding day. Instead, they packed our leftover meal, our cake, and some drinks for us to enjoy after the wedding. Jodi has our highest recommendation.

    Jodi knows catering for party events. For out 50th weddine menu. She had walk-around appetizers, a buffet that was to die for. The 65 or so who came commented on how good the food was. She doctored a lime punch that we had at our original wedding into a less sweet, amazing drink. Her professional help were excellent. I am very happy to recommend Jodi as a soup to nuts (nuts was ice cream and soup was avocado gazpacho). Totally recommend her.
