I was 8 when my mother signed me up for a cake decorating class. It was a life-changing experience. I knew what I wanted to be! Determined to attend the Culinary Institute of America, I convinced restauranteurs in the Rochester, NY, area to give me a chance and started baking "professionally" at 15. Five years later I did it! I graduated from the Culinary Institute of America as a pastry chef. In 1999, Gourmet Goodies was established in Victor, NY. Over the past 20 years I have had the privilege of providing wedding cakes and gourmet pastries to the upstate and western New York area.

My team and I are dedicated to providing the most elegant and unique desserts for your special occasion. We know that each occasion, large or small, has a special significance.     We absolutely loved our deserts for our wedding! We got a cake and multiple handheld desert options and everything was so delicious we had no leftovers! The pricing was incredible and they were great to work with. 100% recommend for any event!!

    We live in Texas so we only had a few chances to try some of the more popular bakeries in the area, and honestly weren’t blown away. We relied on the reviews and input from the Rochester Wedding Connections Facebook group to help us narrow down who we’d go with. From there, we decided to go with Gourmet Goodies in Victor. I worked with Debra on a 4 tier naked-ish cake as well as a surprise grooms cake. Debra was amazing to work with! We were able to select 4 flavors with varying center flavors for each tier. We saved the top tier of our cake for our first anniversary, and we’re so looking forward to that! She also has a florist she works with and she was able to provide flowers on and around the cake, as well as edible gold flakes (since we are the Golds). I also purchased a small cat and dog figurine so we could have our pets be part of our day, as well as a cake topper. When I made the final deposit, I provided these items to Debra and she added them to our tiered cake, exactly where I wanted them. For the groom’s cake, Debra took my idea and ran with it and it was AMAZING! My husband loves the Philadelphia Eagles and our dog, so she made a football field with an edible printed photo of our dog in an Eagles jersey. This was SO fun and one of the highlights of the day! The cake was delicious!!! We had carrot cake, marble, vanilla wedding cake, and chocolate. The carrot and marble cake went first and we only had a little bit of the chocolate and vanilla wedding cake leftover which we devoured in the following days. I cannot wait for our anniversary so we can try the red velvet!!! The pricing was reasonable and actually was cheaper than we budgeted for which was great! The bakery is only a few minutes away from our venue so that was extremely convenient and she was able to easily deliver everything day of.
