“It's hard to capture a romance that has lasted well over a decade, but Justin & Steph from American Rose Weddings did just that in the 15+ collective hours we spent with them. During the wedding planning process, securing a videographer was the last vendor we booked. Not because we were dragging our feet, but because we we could not find a videographer who matched our vision. We wanted the day to be remembered in a unique, authentic, timeless, and intimate way, but most of all, we wanted it to feel like "us." We wanted a videographer who could capture the small details that oftentimes go unnoticed during the day, but paint best picture of who the couple is. We didn't someone to just film the day, add orchestra audio, and call it a day. We wanted a unique storytelling experience from start to finish with someone who was a skilled cinematographer. After Skyping with Justin (and him showing me his collection of super8 cameras which was SO cool), I knew that it was a perfect match. We met Justin & Steph in-person during a couples shoot at our home. Immediately, we formed a connection. They were so easy to be around and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I could see the wheels turning in Justin's mind as the camera rolled, and I immediately could tell that Justin & Steph already knew what kind of story we wanted to have told. When the big day arrived, they were a calming presence in a swarm of craziness. After the wedding, we met up with Justin & Steph at a brewery to finish recording reading our letters to each other. This was the moment that reminded my husband and I that not only did we luck out in the wedding vendor department, but we just gained 2 new amazing friends. When we received the sneak peek and full video suite back (very promptly, I might add!), we could not believe what was in front of us. It was more than we could have ever hoped for. It was unlike any other wedding film we had seen before. It captured our romance and special day so perfectly. As my mom said, the video looked like a "a true Hollywood film." Working with Justin & Steph was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process. “Caitlin did an amazing job. To begin with, she was very sweet, communicative, and helpful in the early part of the process. I do not wear a lot of makeup and don't know much about it, but she guided me through every step, even outlining the sorts of searches I could on Pinterest to find examples I liked. She made me feel confident that she understood what I was comfortable with even though we could not have a pre-bridal appointment due to distance. Then, on day of, Caitlin went above and beyond. She arrived ahead of schedule, brought everything she needed, provided lots of goodies, attention and skincare, and delivered a stellar makeup. “While trying to plan a wedding during a pandemic was interesting to say the least, we were lucky enough that we chose such amazing vendors to work with, especially Corey Ann. We all got to know each other about a year before when we did our engagement shoot, and that definitely showed come wedding day. Corey was incredibly professional, but also really enjoys what she does and had fun with us and was open to both our suggestions and made some fun suggestions to us as well. “I feel so passionately about recommending Sasha I don't even know where to begin! My fiancee and I, as well as several members of our wedding party, have not stopped talking about how great she was since our wedding a couple weeks ago. Sasha did our photos for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. When we started wedding planning, it was important to us to hire vendors who not only aligned with a product we wanted and our price range, but also who were kind, good people we'd want to spend our wedding day with. Some vendors fell short, but Sasha made up for it and then some. First of all, Sasha is EXTREMELY talented. I had a somewhat rough start to my day, getting a bit overwhelmed and behind schedule. Sasha was exactly the person I needed to be with to help ground and calm the energy of everything when it otherwise felt chaotic. She is cool as a cucumber under pressure, kind to every single person she meets, carries such a positive energy, and is a true professional at pivoting/troubleshooting when something goes wrong. She's also a quiet leader who will help keep your wedding running smoothly, pay attention to your timeline, etc. We had a giant wedding party and she somehow corralled people very quickly to get all the group shots we requested, so that I never had to think about it. On the wedding day, as others have said, she was somehow everywhere, but in the least obstructive way possible. I didn't even notice her during the reception or ceremony yet somehow she captured amazing pictures from lots of amazing angles. Leading up to the wedding, Sasha was a delight to work with. She was VERY responsive and willing to meet with us both over the phone and in person. She took the time to do a walk-through of our venue with us, which put me at ease to scope out where we'd take pictures. She even hopped on a Zoom call with us while on her vacation the week before our wedding. Last but not least, Sasha got us our engagement pictures AND our wedding gallery preview much faster than anticipated! If I sound slightly crazed in my obsession for Sasha, it's because I am lol. Sasha's beautiful spirit matches her the high level of talent and artistry in her work. This is your sign to hire her!”

She did a complementary engagement shoot a few months before the wedding and used the opportunity to get to know both of us. I've never known a photographer to put actual effort into knowing their clients, until I met her. She definitely makes her clients feel uniquely cared for. Our wedding pictures turned out wonderfully. They are very colorful and bright, but not in a way that feels heavily edited or artificial. The pictures feel true to how my wife and I remember that day. The prints and books we ordered through her also turned out great. Overall, we cannot recommend Julie enough. “Hiring Katie for our wedding photos was our best decision! We would hire her again in a heartbeat. For the entire year-and-a-half that my fiancé (now husband) were engaged, Katie met with us periodically on the phone to check in about specific topics such as scheduling or a family photos “shoot list”. We got our initial response within a couple days of sending our inquiry, then met on Zoom that week to meet her. She asked about our relationship, our personalities, etc. to get to know us, which was great and made everything more personal. It was easy to book a second shooter through Katie to get more photos, since she will find and contact another professional photographer for you, which is a step out of the way while you’re busy wedding planning! Our wedding day/photos being taken: What we loved about Katie is that her photography style is that her photos don’t feel awkward or too posed, and they feel more journalistic. Our edited photos: My husband and I were in LOVE with our edited photos from both our wedding and our engagement photoshoot. I am usually not the biggest fan of photos of myself, but when I looked through our wedding photos, I loved every single one. We immediately put together photo albums for our parents and had such a hard time picking our favorites! We would put all 1000+ photos in there if we could. I still look at these photos almost daily, and can’t wait to have nicely framed ones in our house. Professionalism: Lastly Katie was extremely professional. She wrote a contract, kept notes of everything so that nothing was forgotten, and was always on time or early for everything. You could tell she really cares about every single client, and puts the work into getting to know each couple far in advance before their wedding day. “My husband and I got married in June of this year. One of the hardest vendors for us to choose from in the beginning was a photographer. Once we met with Cheyenne, we knew she was the perfect fit for us. She was so personable and kind from the first meeting with us. She did an amazing engagement photo shoot with us back in September of last year and gave us option to choose where ever we wanted for the location and also helped give suggestions to a location as there are so many to choose from! Cheyenne was also tremendous in figuring out our wedding day timeline. This was something my husband and I were both stressed about just making sure we had everything right, but she just asked us simple questions and did everything from there! This was so beyond helpful! She also shared it with all of vendors after she put the timeline together too. Fast forward to our wedding day - she was nothing short of amazing!! She got there early to check out the venue first and then was right on it with photos of the guys and then the girls! Cheyenne captured amazing photos from every single part of our day. I attached just a few that she captured. She was amazing getting all of our family pictures done after the ceremony too! Cheyenne also bustled my dress for me before the reception with ease and so quickly! This was beyond helpful and so kind of her as it wasn’t something she had to do, but she was so happy to do it! She was with us for almost 12 hours on our wedding day and had a smile on her face the entire time. She is so genuine and amazing at what she does. We are so thankful that we did because she’s the absolute best! One more thing that Cheyenne does that I didn’t see a lot of vendors do that was so helpful - you can do a payment plan with her and pay every few months before your wedding (depending when you book). This was really helpful as weddings are expensive of course so having this option really helped us plan and prepare better! Make sure you book Cheyenne! You will NOT regret it, I promise!”

My bridal party and I are mixed-race Asian, and after an unsuccessful trial with another artist, we realized we needed someone skilled in techniques that complement Asian features. We found Fei Xu's website, and though she was booked, two team members, Yuki and Priceless, were available. They created stunning, personalized looks for all of us, closely following our inspiration photos and feedback to ensure we were happy with the results. For my bridal hair, I changed my mind from the half-updo look I had done at the trial and opted instead for a vintage pin-curl style on the wedding day. Yuki used authentic pin-curl techniques to craft the old Hollywood look I envisioned—something other stylists had not been able to do with the same reference photos during previous trials. My makeup also held up beautifully through the entire day and night and remained beautiful and luminous even after getting sweaty on the dance floor!
