The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve is an event venue located on a heritage farm in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina. It’s a blend of Southern elegance, rolling meadows, and mature forests. It’s 105 acres of nature and beauty. The venue is a perfect natural setting and it can accommodate large weddings. The Oaks at Salem has everything you are looking for! As the premier venue for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and other Triangle functions, the property provides numerous options for both outdoor and indoor entertaining! ​ Combining centuries-old charm with the best of modern conveniences, the setting is designed to capitalize on the views from every vantage point. Situated on over eleven pastoral acres with mature hardwoods and beautiful landscaping, The Oaks at Salem provides a plethora of photo opportunities beyond your imagination. The main level of the house offers a cozy fireplace and over one thousand square feet of veranda overlooking our ceremony wall, serene, one-acre pond, and newly acquired rustic barn.

The venue can seat around 200 guests comfortably. The main space is a dream with beautiful white shiplap walls, gorgeous stained plank cathedral ceiling and lots of natural light. The main space is heated and cooled so you can be comfortable in any season. There is a covered porch that leads to a large flagstone patio with a white fireplace, this is a great space for rehearsal dinners or just an extension of the reception space. The bridal suite is in a separate building adjacent to the venue. Recently built in 2023, with nearly 800 sq feet you and your wedding party will have a comfortable space to enjoy the day. Finally, there is an open air chapel that can seat 200 guests comfortably. It has beautiful cathedral style windows in the front and back of the chapel and open arches on the sides. This chapel will make a great rain back up option for your wedding day or if you love it as much as we do, it can be a beautiful plan A option as well.

Once owned by Pulitzer prize winner Paul Green, this completely renovated 1890s farmhouse nestled under towering oaks offers a seamless blend of old and new. Tons of history yet it looks like something Joanna Gaines decorated.
