We've worked with Eleanor and the events team at Groton Inn on several weddings for our mutual clients and we are always so happy to be there! Every moment of the event is highly-organized and well-executed. There are several locations to hold your ceremony, cocktail hour in the courtyard is lovely, and the Prescott Room is a perfectly cozy space for events of 60-80 guests. The staff is courteous and professional, the food is excellent, and the space has been well-designed for these kinds of affairs. As live wedding entertainers, we've been to many wedding venues, and Groton Inn is one of our favorites. We can't wait to be back!

On the day of Peter was so kind and helpful. He let me view the ballroom when it was empty before my guest arrived to see how The room came together with our add-ons as well as the space itself! The location of Devon‘s is really great. The amenities around it are very helpful. My guest really enjoyed their meal. Which was really important to me and my husband. It was so elegant and cozy for our winter wedding! I can’t say enough about everyone going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and our special day was beyond perfect in our eyes thank you so much.

We had all the details in the contract, but it wasn’t until we saw it , that we realized they went above and beyond to make this event very festive and unforgettable for everyone. I was a floral designer providing centerpieces for a baby shower held there last fall (2023), in the Phillips Room. My experience as a vendor there was great. The venue was immaculate and modern inside, with the classic New England charm and vibe. The staff could not have been more helpful. They helped me with load-in, and the setup people were friendly and efficient. The coordinator Linda was also friendly, professional and on top of all the many details for the event (food, drinks, balloons, florals, favors, etc.). The room was light and airy, with lots of windows and light. The neutral background would work for almost any color palette. It is a beautiful venue in a classic New England setting, and I highly recommend it!

It is so beautiful, there is many beautiful spots on the property to choose from to have your wedding ceremony. Sharon and Maria were incredible. We were originally supposed to have our wedding at on a family members property, but they pulled out on us 82 days from the wedding. With a stroke of luck they had our date available. I emailed and called on a Monday morning and Sharon called me on speaker phone while driving her kids to work because she understood my urgency. They got me in for a meeting that very day and we officially booked the venue the next day. Honestly the entire situation was a blessing. They really handle everything for you the day of and the help so much in the planning process when it comes to your decor and schedule planning. They communicated well and promptly. They were there on time and waiting for us at every meeting we had scheduled. They accommodated our schedules. I joked that although I have never taken anxiety meds, I believe that Maria is that in human form. Our wedding came together so beautifully. We were wanting a fun, and relax vibe of a family BBQ and we got exactly that. Having the covered porch was so nice for our guests that would rather conversate and chill, than dance and party. We were able to have an ice cream and pizza truck at the end of the night and they coordinated with them to set up in the right spot. For decor we literally just dropped off our boxes and went over last minute things, and they took it from there. We arrived and it was just how we wanted things and at the end of the night everything was neatly packed in the car to go. Pricing was also insanely good. We looked at many other bring your own vendor venues and non were priced as well as them and also coordinated the day for you. I would highly recommended this venue for your wedding, other large party or even smaller more intimate gatherings.

Choosing a venue is arguably the most important aspect of celebrating a wedding, and the Stevens Estate is absolutely spectacular. I wouldn't do a single thing differently when it comes to choosing a venue. From our very first tour of the Estate, we knew they were setting the bar both aesthetically and in terms of planning, and no other venue surpassed it! Amy and Helen were extremely helpful during the planning process, providing excellent forms and schedules that guided us through. Because Fireside Catering owns and caters at the venue, everything could be discussed and planned all at once, which was great for us as we were coordinating our wedding out of state. On the day of, Amy, Casey and other staff members were beyond kind and helpful. Everyone was extremely attentive to our needs and it really felt like a luxury experience. Everything was run smoothly and professionally. The fact that they take care of setup and cleanup meant that my husband and I could be excited about celebrating our marriage without thinking about logistics. There are all kinds of backdrops for photos - beautiful forest surrounding the building, gorgeous interiors of the Estate. The food was excellent! All our guests said they had a great time, and the dance floor was packed all night! We seriously could not have asked for a more magical day, and it is all thanks to Amy, Helen, and the team at the Stevens Estate. We are so grateful for all their hard work!

I honestly could write a novel about our great experience with The Chocksett Inn, and Tianna specifically. From the beginning, Tianna was easy to work with, communicative, and so kind! She walked us through the entire process and was there to answer (and re-answer) all of my questions along the way. Not only does she represent the venue, but also acts as your day-of coordinator. I had asked if I needed to hire someone for this, and she assured me it would be all set. Boy was she right. The day of my wedding didn't go as expected (rain among other things) but she was attentive and ready for any curveballs. You would never have known that an inside ceremony wasn't Plan A. It was a day-of pivot that went seamlessly and beautifully. Tianna is truly so wonderful! In terms of the venue itself, we were so happy with our choice. The Chocksett has a lot of things included in their wedding package, their catering and accommodations are on site, and you can do the rehearsal dinner in the restaurant the night before (which we did!). This made it so much easier to keep everything organized, and our guests enjoyed the ability to stay on-site. If you do get good weather, the courtyard area is so pretty for a ceremony. Tonight I was blown away! I have been a full time wedding DJ for 18 years. My company, Cape Tunes, hosts about 250 weddings every season. I personally DJ about 85 weddings a season. There’s a new venue in Derry, NH called Hyla Brook Estate that opened in October 2024. Sadly, many venues treat vendors trash. Hyla Brook Estate was the complete opposite of what a vendor expects. I won’t mention how amazingly beautiful the venue is, I’m sure plenty of couples will review this aspect. I have to speak from a vendors point of view. A few days prior to the wedding, I got the “I’m your coordinator email, here are our policies”. I walked into the venue to clarify where to unload and was told “whatever works for you”. You mean I don’t have to trek through a kitchen then park a mile away?!?! There were two coordinators named Ashley who were extremely nice. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Kim. Wow, amazing business person with an awesome vision! Some highlights … * Easy load in * Dedicated WiFi for DJs only! * No vendor chicken!!! * Vendors can eat when they want! * Apps and dessert? YUP! They won’t chop your hand off like other venues! SIT DOWN FOR THIS ONE … There is a vendor lounge! With a stocked fridge and snacks!!! I felt compelled to post this for all vendors lucky enough to work at this new property. A note to couples … happy vendors make your day rock a little more

From the moment we stepped inside, we were blown away by the beauty of the space - especially the bar, which created the most stunning backdrop for photos we’ll cherish forever. Rebekah, the owner, and her incredible team thought of everything. From a custom, dairy-free menu (which was so important to me) to specialty passed cocktails and thoughtful service throughout, not a single detail was missed. The lake was such a perfect backdrop and our photos came out stunning! On the day of, the staff was very attentive and friendly to us and our guests. Vanessa, who resides on site at Veasey Park, made our planning and event execution a total breeze! Her recommendations for bartender and tent/event setup were exactly what we needed. They were attentive and professional. Everyone we encountered in planning and holding our event were so easy to get in touch with, and Vanessa walked us through every step of the way. If you love a beautiful outdoor setting like we do, this historical park is for you! The grounds are stunning, complete with an old 1920’s hunting lodge built by the Veasey family. The park offers stunning views of the lake below, a great playground for young guests to enjoy, and if you time your event correctly, you will find the local farmer bringing his goats in to graze on the abundant vegetation. This venue really focuses on maintaining the natural beauty of the property, both inside and out! If you are looking for a cozier, cooler weather setup, just look to the gorgeous hunting lodge with it’s beautiful hardwood floors and stone chimneys! It was an absolute dream, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choosing Veasey Park for a wedding party!

We cannot recommend Pagu highly enough for your wedding or event. From the very first email, they were unlike any of the venues we had reached out to. Overall, Pagu is flexible, which not only made wedding planning MUCH less stressful, but it made our wedding personal to us. Every time we had a question, they had an answer and a solution. You’re not messing around with rentals for plates, chairs, tables, linens or tons of decor. The space is beautiful and already functions so well as a restaurant, allowing you to just be their guest on your wedding day. The FOOD! Multiple guests came up to us and said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Everything was hot, fresh, aesthetically plated and delicious. The family style sharing was relaxed, fun and nobody had to wait in line. The cake was so light and beautifully decorated. Day-of, what really stood out was the exceptional service and kindness we received from the entire team at Pagu. Everyone who works there was so positive, accommodating, and thoughtful. When I was “hiding” before the ceremony, the team delivered an entire tea/coffee service with some of the food to make sure I got something to eat! When we got back to our hotel, we found a portion of each dish in our fridge, just because they heard we hadn’t finished our second course or dessert while we were socializing. It was above and beyond thoughtful! Beyond taking extremely good care of us, all of our guests commented that it was one of the most relaxing weddings because the Pagu team thought of everything. At most weddings, there’s not a server checking in with you about your allergies, restrictions, and if you would like a drink. Since Pagu is a restaurant, you get outstanding restaurant-quality service. They even made a last minute, individual substitution for a new dietary restriction on the spot, and allowed that guest to enjoy the food, too! Another huge bonus was there was almost no bar line, since they’re used to making drinks for this many people! Other highlights of our experience include doing the cocktail creation session with Jimmy. We aren’t big drinkers, so we almost didn’t do this, but we are so glad we did - it was a blast, and the guests loved the personal cocktails. We highly recommend it! The space is gorgeous, the people are a dream, and the food was outstanding. Amanda (the venue coordinator/manager) was so easy to work with and on top of everything. Even our very traditional families (who were very skeptical when we said we were getting married at a restaurant) said afterwards it was one of the best weddings they’d been to. We held our wedding reception at the Multicultural Arts Center in Cambridge, and it was a beautiful venue to host our event. The space was a perfect size for our event with 125 guests, and the ceiling is a showstopper. The building is right on the small city park, Centanni Park, which is such a nice little green space in East Cambridge. The staff was friendly and easy to work with and helped us to create our dream reception. One thing to keep in mind when picking this venue is that you have to select from a list of preferred vendors for catering, and they will need to rent all of the plates, cutlery, glassware, catering supplies etc since the venue does not provide these items. Their list of caterers to choose from is a great list, but the extra cost of these rentals should be remembered when budgeting your event.

Our daughter just celebrated her wedding this past weekend at the Kimpton Marlowe, and I can't imagine a more perfect experience! We visited quite a few venues that we loved, but once we found KM and Rachel, we knew we had found our place. I'm not sure where to begin! The planning process was never stressful thanks to Rachel's patience, professionalism and organizational skills. Our daughter lives out of state, and I can only imagine the insane amount of emails that flew back and forth between her and Rachel! She kept us all calm, and we were always confident that the day would be perfect because of her extraordinary efforts. The venue itself has everything a bridal party could want. It's in an accessible location for out of state visitors to explore Boston and Cambridge. The staff are all warm, friendly and eager to help with anything. The price is very reasonable; we had ruled out Boston/Cambridge because of our budget, but KM turned out to be right on target. There is convenient parking on site. We were offered a block of rooms in the hotel for an amazingly good price, so that our guests didn't have to worry about driving after a big party! The food was exceptional, from appetizers to dinner and even late night snacks of pizza, cookies and milk! The reception room was gorgeous and is very easy to work with because of the neutral colors. I think one of our favorite parts was that we had the entire second floor of the hotel to ourselves! The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and even a room for the bride to retreat when she needed to change was all included. The younger guests danced until the very end, and the "older" parents and guests found a quiet spot to hang out in the lobby area outside of the reception hall, filled with comfortable sofas, chairs and tables. All who attended were happy with the many choices to party, relax and mingle. In my opinion, KM and Rachel are a still a hidden gem in the greater Boston area. I hope this review helps to get the word out that they are the place to go if you are looking for an affordable option with fabulous spaces, delicious food and most of all, an event planner who puts her heart and soul into everything she does.
