Stone Acres Farm is a sixty-three acre working farm located in the historic coastal New England town of Stonington, Connecticut. The property's rolling hills, gardens, and acres of vegetable production are open to visitors. We celebrate natural farming, sustainable food, culinary education and the preservation of open space, cultural landscapes, and historic structures.

Our ancestors settled here in 1635 from Heavitree, England, hence the name. We are one of the few longest-living farms to continue in the founder’s name “Geer.” The Heavitree is an original 18th-century building saved and moved to its current location, a 140+ acre farm started by our ancestors in 1700. The original structure was a tavern in Rhode Island, saved from destruction by Charlotte Geer to complement her family’s historic farmland. With twelve rooms, including four sleeping chambers, modern amenities, and unique 18th-century rooms, the 4,780 sq. ft. farmhouse offers a historic experience. Enjoy the vast lawns, fields, gardens, and beautiful private vistas.

Potowomut Golf Club is a private club that has been in existence since 1927 and we have seen our fair share of all different kinds of events. Our location is perfect for weddings, dinner dances, baby & bridal showers, and holiday parties alike. Our golf course is the ideal setting for photo opportunities of our water fountain feature and beautiful sunsets. We offer plenty of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options to suit all different palates. We are also wheel chair friendly and we have plenty of open availability both off and in season. We are happy to customize the menu to your specifications, so if you have something in mind that you do not see offered on the menu just let us know. You may also customize the bar and beverage offerings however you see fit. We do not hold multiple events at the same time so that we can focus on the details and keep your guests and our members happy.
