      3 Dudes & Dinner

      5.0

      Tecumseh, MI
      • Starts at $28

Christopher Wanke is the Owner-Operator at 3 Dudes & Dinner Catering. His passion in the hospitality industry started at the age of 14 when he began as a dishwasher for a local family restaurant. From these humble beginnings, Chris has climbed the industry ladder collecting invaluable experience along the way. He has operated both the production and customer oriented aspects of the industry. In 2014, Chris embarked on creating 3 Dudes & Dinner. The dream is, and always will be, to bring the highest level of service and culinary wizardry to all events and occasions.

Working with Three Dudes & Dinner was absolutely fantastic. Chris, the owner, was so down-to-Earth and so excited to work with and experiment with new flavors. We had Puerto Rican inspired food at our wedding -- adobo chicken, bistec encebollado, tostones -- and Chris and his team rose to the occasion. So many people complimented us on the food! Amy Gerrity, the manager, was also so lovely and took care of me and my husband so well to make sure we ate (and had a drink!). She was the bright center of her team, always smiling, always socializing. Her team of bar tenders and servers were fantastic and they helped us tear down at the end of the night. I would highly recommend this company not just for weddings, but for any and all events you might be thinking about hosting!

      BB Take Home Kitchen

      5.0

      Hopkinton, NH
      • Starts at $1,500

Creator, owner, chef, and lead dishwasher - Emily Knowlton - has a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of New Hampshire. She enjoys cooking, recipe creating, gardening, and farm shopping. She's the mad scientist behind the majority of our wedding menus and loves making what seems impossible - possible. She’s happiest in Mickey Mouse ears, obsessed with her dog, a dressage queen, and apprentice gardener. She spends the time she’s not obsessively scrolling through the internet and flipping through cookbooks for inspiration, wedding planning for her 2022 Disney World wedding.

We hired BB Take Home Kitchen for two services - first for an engagement party and secondly for our wedding reception which was heavy appetizers and stations. I cannot recommend them more highly with regards to their communication, the food, the service - they bent over backward to serve the menu that we wanted. They absolutely knocked the stations, the charcuterie, the sliders all out of the park. I was so impressed by the service, everyone was so kind and polite, and professional. 10/10 would recommend.

      About wedding catering

How much does wedding catering cost?

When thinking about catering cost, consider drinks, hors d'oeuvres and stations, and the main meal itself. Bar services are quoted per person and pricing often depends on what alcohol you want (more expensive packages include pricier labels). Hors d'oeuvres and stations are also priced per person, with variable costs for more expensive options like lobster rolls. For the main meal, consider what you’d spend per head going out to a restaurant in your area—the cost per person at your wedding will be similar. Keep in mind that plated meals cost more per person than buffets.

When should we book our wedding caterer?

Choosing a wedding caterer is an important decision for many couples—good food can really make an event stellar! It’s best to start researching caterers 10–12 months out, and book around 8 months out. You may not always be able to schedule a tasting before booking your caterer. For many smaller vendors, the effort and expense to put together tastings without a signed contract is prohibitive. In these cases, your tasting will take place after you’ve booked the caterer and will focus on refining menu choices.
