After I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Hearing-Impaired Education, I didn't plan to be a photographer until one day. I picked up my camera and took some random pictures. I posted some pictures on FB and several friends told me, "Girl! Seriously, you need to start a photography business and I need a family session! " Here I am. I have been doing it for seven years now, over 100 weddings and I love it!! I have amazing clients and I consider them to be family.

I grew up in a small, rural town in Southern Michigan where I married my high school sweetheart. I first dabbled in photography in high school but perfected my craft while living on a Marine base in California where my husband was stationed. I was the student who had no idea what she wanted to do after High School. As my peers were applying to college with a clear career path in mind, I struggled to choose just one route. I could see myself in so many roles, and yet none of them fit JUST right. In 2011, my son was born and a new path appeared on my map: Motherhood. This role took over and nothing else mattered. The year progressed and my son grew, and grew and grew some more. I bought my first DSLR to document that rapidly growing boy of mine. It wasn't long before those peers from high school came to me to document their lives as well, and my career path was finally chosen.
