I started DJing back during my college years at Penn State in 1982. In the beginning, I was helping a friend of mine who bought a complete DJ setup from a business who was selling one of their systems. We did frat parties, formals & some of the local State College bars. After college I moved to Binghamton, NY. There I had a six month radio show on a public station. I also worked some of the local bars under the name Sounds Fantastic. Fast forward to January of 2000 we moved to Raleigh,NC to bring our musical experience to the south!

I started Discoboxx in 2022 to bring a more stylish and tasteful approach to weddings and events in North Carolina. For ten years, I was fortunate to help grow two of the biggest and most successful DJ collectives in Los Angeles, DJing hundreds of weddings and playing at the most stunning event venues and nightlife spots. When my family decided to move to Raleigh, I knew I would have the opportunity to create a new experience for clients in The Tar Heel State looking for something different. By the time she was three years old, Olivia Claggett was asking for a harp teacher. At six years old, she began taking piano lessons with Jean Wonders, and at eight she began Suzuki harp lessons with professional harpist, instructor, and adjudicator Candyce Dunham. She never looked back after her first lesson in October 2007. During her many years as a student, Olivia continued to push herself musically by competing in numerous competitions winning the annual Buckeye Christian School Organization’s spring competition for five consecutive years.

I have two decades in the music and events industry. She runs Lune River Harp Studio, which seeks to instill an admiration for the musical arts, inspire students to reach their full potential, and create lasting memories with each performance. Known for her passionate and masterful performances, Bethany plays regularly as a soloist and ensemble member. She has dedicated herself to learning the harp so that she can help others experience its beauty, and to this end, she received her Masters of Music in Harp Performance from the University of Michigan.

Welcome! We are Magnolia String Quartet, four members that provide a customized music experience for both weddings & special events. Features violinists Anna Maria Smith and Sarah Cox, cellist Jesse Smith, and violist Presti Hatchell.
