I love to have fun and I put 110% into everything I do. I’m outgoing, talkative, silly, a little sarcastic…but most importantly I’m a mother. I LOVE photography and I got into it after having our first daughter. Like most new parents I wanted to capture everything she did. It became an obsession for me to perfect my photography, partly because I like to be the best at whatever I do and also because I wanted to have amazing pictures of my girls! I’ve had some of the worst experiences with photographers before I became one.

We’re all about weddings steeped with intention - from intentionally choosing a meaningful location to making sure that all of your favorite things that represent who you are as a couple are woven throughout your day. I started Megan Pontius Photography after I graduated Highschool in 2021. I didn't really get into couples photography until I got married in 2022. It wasn't until then that I really saw the different seasons in a relationship. Between the first date, to the 100th date, to getting engaged, stress of wedding planning, to the wedding day, and the days after that taking on life together.
