The Celtic Balladeers perform all styles of Irish and Celtic music. In the above sound clip they are captured live (VERY live) on St. Patty’s day at Coogan’s on Broadway. The sound clip features our guitar and tenor banjo duo while the complete band includes several other instrumentalists such as guitar, Irish tenor banjo, accordion, fiddle, bass, drums, bodhran, whistle, pipes, flute, mandolin, keyboard, horns, vocalists and dancers. Besides the standard, and county specific Irish material they can also perform a whole catalog of American dance music.

There is nothing quite like the elegance of strings. We recommend string groups for Wedding Ceremonies, Elegant Dinners, and Cocktail Hours. Whether it is the standard grouping of Violin, Violin, Viola and Cello or a hybrid ensemble with harp or guitar, our players are well versed in both classical and contemporary repertoire. We also have Electric String Quartets. Some clients opt to have the group play acoustic for the ceremony and switch to electric instruments for cocktail hour.

Our Hoppin’ John Steel Band performs Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Carnival, Belafonte, “Beach Music” and standard American selections as well. Instrumentalists in this group include steel drums (or “pans”) of various sizes, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, keyboard, horns, vocalists, limbo dancers and other specialists added for special occasions.

Her diverse repertoire includes Jazz, New Orleans Music, French, and German/Bavarian/Oktoberfest. Erica also loves to perform well loved pop songs which audiences would never expect to hear on Accordion. These songs range from 80’s pop anthems to Amy Winehouse covers.

I know literally thousands of songs in several different styles, including multi-cultural and international songs in several different languages, when called for. Instead I spend time with you in advance to determine exactly which styles, which eras and which songs you’d love to hear. And then that’s what I play. Plus I take requests right on the spot!
