Built in 1900, featuring one-of-a-kind beauty of our historic Balfour Dock building with its dramatic glass wall and intricate bridge truss-style ceilings soaring 55 feet above the exhibit hall floor with direct access to the beautiful esplanade on the Thea Foss Waterway. The Seaport hosts two distinct event spaces including the Bamford Chart Room, ideal for meetings and small parties, and the North Exhibit Hall which beams with nautical charm and is ideal for larger groups.

In 1939 the Works Progress Administration built a timbered A-frame gymnasium of local stone and timbers - the beautiful structure that would later become the Longbranch Clubhouse. When the school district consolidated to a larger site, the Longbranch Improvement Club purchased the land and buildings. In 1956 rest rooms, upgraded kitchen facilities and a wooden floor were added. The Longbranch Clubhouse has held an astonishing variety of activities in its colorful history. High school basketball, wartime bandage rolling, huckleberry festivals, fund-raisers, basket socials, Sunday schools and funerals - along with the popular dances and theater events that formed the foundation of this community's social life for generations.
