Tacoma Art Museum, conveniently located just off I-5, presents a spectacular combination of sparkling views, downtown location, award-winning architecture, and world-class works of art. The museum can accommodate events ranging from intimate gatherings of 25 to a cocktail-style standing reception for 500+ guests. TAM’s contemporary building offers a variety of spaces that can be used individually or together, customizing the event layout to suit your needs. Whether your event is practical or luxurious, there are many elements to consider, and our consistent onsite coordination ensures that your event will proceed smoothly from start to finish. TAM’s event management staff will guide and assist you in producing a successful event that reflects your unique vision, taste, and budget.

All of the different specialties (event coordinator, operations, catering staff) at TAM were so helpful, accommodating, and easy to work with. I really appreciated their proactive communication & guidance. My guests raved about the food (unfortunately they don’t plan on providing this service - you’ll need to hire an outside catering company). Classy venue. Angie was on it!!

Yes, you can! We just need to know a min. of 60 days out!

We do have parking. However, we do not own our parking lot. You can pay hourly ($2 per hour) or you can rent out the whole lot through Republic Parking. Inquire for more information.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps in the lobby and in the galleries, elevators, and trained staff.

Your reservation is a minimum of 4 hours, including the time it takes our staff to set up and clean up. Any additional time will be billed at an hourly rate. Inquire for more additional hours or other add-ons to your event!

Yes, of course, you can! We do have a buyout fee. All caterers need to do a walk-through of the building with our Events Manager and Head Chef. All outside caterers need to have their Pierce County Health Department Catering Permit. Inquire for more details.

Since we are a museum, only treated flowers from a licensed florist are allowed in the building. No live plants, rocks, dirt, or other organic matter are allowed. For decorations, please inquire about our rules and regulations.
