I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Helianthus and Lace is a wedding and event floral design business serving the deeply in love and aiming to glorify Jesus through it all. Helianthus is the Latin term for sunflower and comes from the root Helio and Greek Helios, meaning Sun. As sunflowers are growing and beginning to bloom, they turn their heads towards the sun - I find this to be a great analogy for faith in Jesus. As we are growing and blooming in any stage of life, we should be continually turning our heads to the Son. Flowers have been a part of my life since 2014, and I have been flowering weddings since 2018. I'm so glad you are here!

My passion for flowers and plants started when I was a child. Growing up in the middle of nowhere was the best thing to allow my imagination to flourish. The school day would end and I would be rushing off the bus to help my grandparents plant seedlings or pick the harvest from the garden. Rhapsody in Bloom opened it's doors in August 2017 in Palmyra, PA as a full service wedding and event floral business. Owner Bridget has a degree from Delaware Valley College in Plant Science and Floriculture where she learned to combine her love of design and science into shaping arrangements out of precious flowers. She generally watches too much Netflix, loves her cats, and has a Barbet named Violette who hangs at the shop and tries to eat things she shouldn't. Bridget is supported by her Superman husband Andrew, who goes by “Bucket Boy” on set up days and her family who are always there to lend a hand to make each wedding magical.

Family is everything to us! I have always been a flower lover... Even as a child I would harvest all my grandmothers blooming flowers. Then make bouquets with them for my family. So it was no surprise in 2009 when I volunteered to arrange my cousins wedding flowers and fell in love! After that I was hooked and knew I wanted to pursue this as my career. So I complete a floral design course with Ashworth College in 2009 with honors.
