We had our wedding at Carmel Fields in December, and it was a beautiful day. At first, I had some hesitations about choosing Wedgewood because all inclusive sounds like it could be a bit cookie cutter, but I’m so glad we went with them. They allowed us to personalize so many elements, and their staff made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The Planning & Staff: We absolutely loved working with Alycia during the planning process leading up to the wedding. The whole team is so organized, responsive, and easy to work with. Every time I would email them with a question the answer was prompt and usually "Yes!". It made me feel so reassured and supported throughout. Despite a last-minute change to our day-of coordinator, the new coordinator we were paired with, Anahi, was fantastic and handled everything so well—so professional, sweet, and calming. She made everything run smoothly despite a timeline hiccup. Luis, our banquet manager, took over during the reception and I truly appreciated how attentive and organized he was. Flexibility & Customization: Wedgewood provided the structure of an all-inclusive venue, but they also allowed us the flexibility to bring in our own touches and vendors. I worked with their florist for the larger pieces (like our split ceremony arch and upgraded centerpieces) while also bringing in my own DIY florals for things like bridesmaid bouquets and bud vases. They were accommodating when it came to letting us customize certain elements, like our bar setup and décor, which helped us make the space feel like “us.” The Food: The appetizers during cocktail hour were a hit—guests really raved about them! I didn’t get as much feedback about the main plated meal, but our vendors mentioned they loved it. Personally, I didn’t get to eat much (even though I swore I’d be a bride who did!), and I felt the food was about what I expected for a wedding. Value for the Price: Carmel is a very high-cost area, and I feel like we got a great deal for what we paid. The venue is absolutely stunning, the weather was perfectly sunny for December. We did the elite package and got upgraded chairs, top shelf liquor, a plated meal - Wedgewood's packages allowed us to have a beautiful, elevated wedding without breaking the bank. Final Thoughts: The team we worked with went above and beyond to ensure everything came together flawlessly. If you’re looking for a venue that simplifies the planning process while still allowing room for personal touches, I highly recommend!

I got married here recently and it was beautiful! It is very convenient having rooms on site to accomodate so many guests. You have to cater through the venue but their food is amazing. They use their own grass fed meats and were great about what food and drinks we wanted. While the venue does come with a few things like tables and chairs, you do have to pay to rent other items from them and a lot of the decoration will be DIY, but this can be a good thing if you want to personalize a lot of things! Owners are not too strict about things and are flexible. This can go both ways though - sometimes the planning was a bit difficult due to lack of communication with the venue. It would take a while to get answers, or they would forget some things I told them. Definitely recommend getting a day of planner to help since this is a large venue with lots of DIY and family around usually. Other than that though, everything turned out beautiful and guests were very happy with the views and rooms. They are reasonably priced and we were able to stay up late too! Perfect day :)

All inclusive was the best way to go! Jennifer and Priscilla was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Even when I added a bunch of things last minute. They were able to help with all my questions. The venue is stunning and packaged vendors were just wonderful. This was my dream wedding. If I could change anything it would be to allow the food to stay out all night or just longer than 90 minutes. Also, if I could have gotten into the bridal suite to actually get my makeup done that would have been a nice touch. But that’s minor. The suite was lovely and spacious enough for my immediate family to do our touch ups and change. The drinks were nice and strong. This was the best day ever!

As a wedding planner, we see the behind-the-scenes operations of many different venues. I can confidently say The Club at Pasadera provides the best quality customer service and food service in the area. They are consistent with every event and we have done over 100 events at their location over the past 8 years. The back of the house staff has remained the same because they are all one happy family and it shows in the service they provide every one of our clients. Besides that the venue is stunning and will leave your guests feeling like they have been transported to another country. Another huge plus is their indoor spaces in case there is rain in the forecast and you do not want to pay an extra 20k for a tent last minute like you often have to do at other locations in the area. We LOVE The Club at Pasdera and highly recommend them to any couple looking to get married there.

This review is long overdue. The staff was really amazing in coordinating our perfect wedding right from the beginning. We were planning our big day from out of state, which you would think would cause a few hiccups but the staff at J Winston Winery made everything very easy. Taylor Kinsey, Operations manager, was always quick to respond, provided great recommendations, had tremendous patience and was very professional throughout the entire process. They offered a package to buy out the winery at a very reasonable price so we didn’t have to worry about uninvited guests or rush any last minute details. The wine packages were just as reasonable; the only tough decision here was deciding which ones to serve. The newly built barn, where we hosted our reception was beautifully done. It had all the right touches with very little need for additional decorations. The day before the wedding we were able to setup/prep anything we needed to and of course enjoyed some of their amazing wine. We were really appreciative of them working closely with our multiple vendors prior to wedding day and getting them all set up on our special day. We can’t thank them enough for making our special day truly magical. We still visit the winery when we’re in town and to this day continue to thank them for the great job they did and reminiscence on the fun we had. Thank you John and the J Winston Winery team for being there for us especially Taylor and Leyla!

Less than two hours south of San Francisco lies the most magical getaway along the Santa Cruz coastline. I first came upon this impossibly charming storybook B&B while searching for wedding venues, and from the few photos I was able to find online, it appeared to be something out of a fairytale.  Situated just 10 minutes from the ocean and tucked beneath giant California Redwoods of Aptos, is Sand Rock Farm Bed & Breakfast. From the redwood carriage barn, to the turn-of-the-century Craftsman home, and ivy covered stone walls of the winery ruin, it was everything I could have ever possibly dreamed. On my first stay, I knew this was an incredibly special place. We entered through a private gate and drove along a wooded pathway until arriving at a towering yet tranquil home with logs burning in the fireplace. The Arts & Crafts era house was filled with period details like dark wood finishes, original fixtures, and a formal dining room with wainscoting. A grand staircase leads to a second story with window nooks and guest rooms with en-suite baths. And in a neighboring grove, a giant redwood stands tall, a beacon of the property. AND THE FOOD... Derek, the chef, is amazing. The food is fresh, seasonal, and farm-to-table. His attention to seasonal, local ingredients mixed with bold flavors embody the adventurous spirit of this seaside town. From our first breakfast, he was accommodating and cognizant of my dietary preferences, an honorable quality among those with talent.   Staying in this magical getaway, get lost wandering paths through ten private acres, or stay cozy and curl up with a good book by the fire. We did both. All rooms have jacuzzi tubs, robes, WiFi and cable TV. See if you can fit in a long weekend by checking here. Or, even better, rent out the entire property for a company retreat, team-building exercise, family reunion, elopement, girl’s trip, guy’s trip, or family vacation. You will have access to 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a chef's kitchen, large dining room, gardens and a hot tub.  Having our wedding here was beyond my wildest dreams. It was everything I could have hoped for, from the on-site planner, florist (who was amazing!!), and chef (perfection!!), to the breathtaking backgrounds, and multiple settings for custom day flexibility. Jen was super easy to work with and it was far more affordable than other venues at the time. Plus, we loved that our wedding party could stay on-site - there was a great afterparty that ended with a jacuzzi and eating dinner leftovers in the kitchen! Also, conveniently located and very easy for guests to access. This place is truly something special, and I’m already looking forward to our next visit.  It makes me so happy to share it with you.

The Monterey Plaza is one of those venues that makes you feel very comfortable from the moment you start working with them. As a vendor, we are greeted, introduced to the team/other vendors, and given clear direction. There is no shortage of staff and ceremony areas are set up well in advance (no last-minute setting up of chairs/staging/sound system). They have always been true professionals and that is very helpful on a day that can be somewhat stressful.

We got married at Chaminade in November 2023 and highly recommend the venue. We discovered the resort when happened to take my mom there for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Every member of the staff was kind and helpful. In fact, Christopher was able to give us an impromptu tour of the hotel rooms, banquet halls, and ceremony locations. Once we signed our contract, Rebecca and Lizzie helped plan the catering and day-of details which included the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception dinner. I felt very comfortable going into the wedding day and knew everything would be handled smoothly by the Chaminade team. I can't emphasize enough how kind and helpful every member of the team was throughout the event. We had so many guests comment that the food was outstanding - even months after the wedding! Sadly, my appetite was thrown off from the excitement of the day but the catering team offered me ginger ale and toast throughout the night. The venues were set up beautifully and we appreciated all that went into creating the settings for the ceremony, bar, and reception areas. Chaminade made our wedding day unforgettable and I am so thankful to the team for bringing all the details together!

The Hollins House is truly a dream come true. The venue itself is stunning— you don’t need to do much to make it the perfect setting for a wedding. We hosted our October 2023 Wedding Reception at The Tech Interactive and I highly recommend it to anybody who is looking for a unique (and literally interactive) venue. It was so much fun and our guests had a great time!  We rented the entire lower level and they kept the galleries and exhibits open so our guests could play with them throughout the night! They were a hit during cocktail hour as well as for taking breaks from the dance floor (although we still always had plenty of people on the dance floor!)  Our event was mostly adults with a handful of younger relatives, and everyone had a great time. The exhibits at The Tech Interactive are perfect for quick and fun interactions no matter how interested (or not interested) any individual guest was in science/technology. Our engineer friends had a great time with the Cyber Detectives activities, while even our least technically-inclined guests enjoyed playing around with things like the Jet Pack Chair and Solve For Earth. This was truly best of both worlds, as we didn't have to give up any of the "traditional" wedding elements to make room for the fun of the exhibits - our tables and decorations were set up beautifully, we still had appetizers and an open bar, and like I mentioned above, there were still always plenty of people on the dance floor! We actually didn't even need to decorate as much as we might have with a more "traditional" venue either, as the existing colors, lighting, and layout of The Tech make for a strong baseline to build from. Our primary contact was Lolita and she was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. She was there with us every step of the way, from our initial tour to our reception itself. She made sure to consider exactly what we were looking for to make our wedding special and was extremely organized and great and communicating with us as well as our other vendors. She created a great layout based on our table count, dance floor size, and the space the caterer needed, and she and her team went above and beyond and worked with our caterer and coordinator to help set everything up between the public close time and the start of our event so that everything was perfect when our guests got there. They even let us customize the exterior lighting color of the building during our event. The physical location of The Tech Interactive is fantastic as well - right in downtown San Jose within walking distance of tons of hotels and two parking garages where The Tech validates. The city closed off Market Street right in front of The Tech relatively last minute for a public city event, but Lolita was on top of it and worked with us and our shuttle company to arrange for pickup and a smooth experience for our guests. In summary: If you're looking to do something unique with your wedding or event, I can't recommend The Tech Interactive enough. Lolita was fantastic to work with and our guests couldn't stop saying how it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been to.

Blanco is a fantastic venue with an incredible team! The rooftop and mezzanine are gorgeous and the white walls provide a minimalist look that can be decorated to fit your theme.
