About this venue

Our timeless venue is a perfect fit for your event. The San Jose Woman's Club Landmark historic venue, number 32 on the Historic Register, is the ideal place for your special event. The 1929 California Mission Revival style structure was built for the SJWC and designed by the notable architectural firm of Wolfe & Higgins. It includes many tiled features created by famed ceramicist Albert Solon. The Historic Venue provides in-kind donation of lowered cost rental of the SJWC to local community and arts groups for fund-raising events, performances and meetings. Rent the entire Historic Landmark Venue for your event, you and up to 350 guests have the use of the entire facility including the Landmark ballroom, tea room, kitchen and fireside room.

The Landmark Ballroom offers over 3,000 square feet of hardwood floors, perfect for those who plan on doing a little dancing or enjoying a meal. The ballroom boasts 30 foot high ceilings and a row of grand arched windows that face north, providing ample daytime light and evening atmosphere. Our professional team understands your needs and will support your special day in an historic setting with our contemporary expertise and equipment.

8 hours for your event including day-of set up and tear down. We can accommodate endless seating and setup configurations to match your needs. You can bring your own alcohol served by a licensed bartender. Dressing Area: get ready away from your guests in the bride’s room with a private bathroom. Inventory: basic tables and chairs, as well as a lighted podium. Catering: use one of our preferred caterers who know our kitchen and building well or bring in your own caterer of choice.

Kitchen Facilities: warming ovens, refrigerators and freezers for ice are included. Tables & Chairs, Podium: basic tables and chairs for the group, as well as a lighted podium, as you need. Bartending station: bring in a licensed bartender to serve your guests in style. 8 hours of event space including (3) hours of event time, (4) hours decorating time, (1) hour of clean up time.

    San Jose Woman's Club is a gorgeous historical venue with a spacious ballroom that can seat up to 400 people theater style. Ample space provides endless opportunities for the set up and the Tea Room and Fire Side Room allow additional space for receptions and smaller events.
