Jaclyn’s love for her flowers shows in her work. From their locally sourced fresh flowers to their beautiful dried apothecary sets (I have 6!) are complimented by anyone who comes to my home. I had a small backyard wedding in August 2020, and came across Hometown on Instagram. Jaclyn understood my vision from the first convo we had. I wanted all tables to have different flower arrangements and at the end of the night, I saw my friends walking away with my arrangements to keep as their own! Even for my bouquet, Jaclyn put together something she thought I’d like and pointed out the flowers and why I’d love them. It was such an easy and enjoyable collaboration! “I don't normally wear much makeup and my hair does not hold a curl well. Paola made me feel sooo comfortable which was the biggest reason for choosing her, and my makeup came out wonderful. My hair came out and held up a bit better in the trial than on the day of but I still feel fine about it overall, as it really was absolutely beautiful on wedding day. The makeup assistant got covid days before the wedding which made Paola grab a hair assistant last minute to prep the hair so Paola could do the hair and makeup; it was the best anyone could do in the circumstances and I get that fully. “Let’s start with “WOW!” We had a music festival themed wedding with four bands so music was a critical piece of our wedding weekend and the standards were high. We interviewed over 20 bands from the NYC area and decided to go with Vitamin M after really vibing with their band leader, JJ. And boy are we glad we did! JJ worked with us to curate the perfect performance for us and our guests. He was able to balance dance songs and classics alongside some custom requests that went off the beaten path of most traditional weddings from the likes of The Band, Talking Heads and The Clash. He even helped us surprise our guests with a singing introduction of the bride and groom. He took time to get to know us and was always happy to answer any questions we had.
