I'm a California native with a wanderlusting soul. I grew up in the snowy mountains of Lake Tahoe and spent my teenage years in the rainforests of Costa Rica before returning to the West Coast of the United States to study the art of wedding photography and earn my BFA with Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California.

I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

Hi, I’m Trista, a native Angeleno, and I have been a Los Angeles Wedding Photographer since 2010. As a result, I’ve captured over 175 weddings in Los Angeles and around California. Other loves of mine are my animals, movies, and being outside adventuring. For instance, If you’re having a wedding involving any of these I’ll be over the moon. At the moment one of my favorite shows to watch while working is the Great British Baking Show. Everyone’s just so nice and I learn something about baking every time. Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot.
