This shift has drawn me back to my culture and has awaken my interest in DJing. I have been spinning for 7+ years, and I never stop learning. With a father who loves Miles Davis and a mother who adores Smokey Robinson, Cecily grew up surrounded by the music in her parents vast record collection, and was captivated by the works of Minnie Riperton, Gil Scott-Heron, Anita Baker, and Phyllis Hyman. After college, Cecily looked to these rich, soulful sounds from her childhood, and channeled them into her own music. Amaris Trio is a wedding classical music ensemble operating out of Reston, Virginia. Consisting of Shearom on violin, Ryan on cello, and Stephanie on piano, this award-winning trio brings over a decade of performance experience to every occasion. Formed in 1996 by harmonica player & songwriter Scott Spearly, guitarist Tim Mitchell and claw-hammer banjo champion Paul Mackrell, the combo initially performed as a steadfast trio throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia for nearly ten years. As their name and reputation as a hard-driving old-time hillbilly-jazz band has grown, The Knuckledusters now perform mostly as a group of five, taking to the interstates and stretching performances from Washington D.C. to New York.

Élan Noelle is an exceptional singer with a crowd pleasing repertoire consisting of Jazz standards, RnB, Soul and Pop hits from today and yesteryear. Her vocals are accompanied by guitar or piano and together this acoustic duo presents an enticing musical performance. Élan has been performing in the DMV region and throughout the East Coast for over a decade with some of the most talented musicians renowned in the area.

The Capital Effect are the members of Lloyd Dobler Effect and have been full time touring musicians for over two decades, having performed in over forty states and thirteen countries. Grant Kuhnsman, who performs as DJ ARIA, is a critically acclaimed, award-winning DJ from Washington, DC. He began creating mixtapes and curating his music collection at a young age. By his teenage years, he was introduced to the turntable and learned how to beatmatch by ear with vinyl. Since then he has sharpened his skills and proven himself as a bona fide Open Format DJ that has performed at numerous venues across DC, Maryland, and Virginia (The DMV) logging over 500 wedding receptions, corporate events and private parties in his career.

Jeff Hayes has been playing the piano in the metropolitan Washington DC area since the 1980s. He has played solo piano at the area’s finest hotels and clubs. Jeff has played for conventions, fundraisers, and every type of celebration imaginable. Jeff’s repertoire runs the gamut from classical and movie themes to current popular hits. “From Fauré to Fallout Boy” as he likes to say. In addition to his solo work, Jeff is a fine accompanist and works with classical and pop singers and musical theatre groups. He currently accompanies the Sapphires, Bethesda Little Theatre, and Mini-Musicals on the Move.

Tiffany Rose is blessed to come from a gifted musical family. Her mother, Gail Shanta, is an accomplished harpist and has been playing in the DC area for over 30 years. Tiffany grew up playing for special occasions with Gail, and they add that special charm to an event, as a mother/daughter duo. In addition, Tiffany’s sister, Katie Shanta, is an accomplished violinist with a music degree from George Mason University. Tiffany and Katie have performed together for many weddings, as well as with their mother as a trio. The Shanta Family at its best!

Benjamin played at the Hampton University Graduation where President Obama was the guest speaker. He has played at several venues in the Hampton, Virginia area to include the Hampton Coliseum. Benjamin returned to the Washington, DC area to continue his musical career. Currently, Benjamin plays the cello at various venues around the Washington metropolitan area to include Chinatown, Georgetown, Eastern Market, and Dupont Circle. He is a cellist with the Sanctified Symphony Orchestra; and the Cellist in the musical, the Cortical Titanic.

Cristian began taking piano lessons at the age of 5, but did not find his true passion until he picked up the guitar in his mid-teens after being inspired by rock groups from Argentina. Self-taught on guitar, he gravitated towards classical guitar after moving to the U.S. in 2002. Encouraged to pursue music by his high school teacher Ken Hall, Cristian met Paraguayan guitarist extraordinaire Berta Rojas, under whom he studied privately for two years.

Ellington holds a Bachelors of Music Degree in Jazz Studies and a Bachelors Degree in Music Technology, both from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
