My name is Katerine Giannikos. I'm a Professional Photographer from South Africa now based in Boise, Idaho. Before moving to Boise, I lived in New York City for a couple of years. I was obsessed with capturing the Big Apple and its awe-inspiring architecture. It was in this moment where my passion for photography grew and I knew I wanted to do something with it. The outdoors has always given me a sense of wonder, which is why I strive to capture images that showcase the grandeur of nature.

When I first started my business, I was 17 and straight out of high school. To get going I would take most any job . My first wedding was with a young couple, new to the United States and didn't have much money to spend. Their wedding photography cost them $50.00, yes, that is correct, $50.00 total for 6 hrs of coverage. In reality the fee covered the film and film development and that is it. That was 23 yrs ago and I haven't looked back since. I love capturing the beauty of each couples day and creating images that will allow each couple to look back year after year.

When I discovered wedding photography, it was this amazing elixir of everything I love: fine details, beauty, light, and of course, a love story. I was hooked, and I’ve been celebrating love stories with my camera for clients in Idaho, Oregon, and Utah. Based in Boise, but always available for travel adventures! My background and degree are in Elementary Education, and I have a Master's in Curriculum Development, so being helpful and planning is in my DNA.
