Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

Oklahoma City, OK
  • Serves St. Jo, TX

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

We had a tropical themed wedding and used Flower Moxie for tropical flowers and greenery: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, ceremony arch flowers. I wish there were more tropical related videos on their DIY Academy, but I did love working with my assigned florist and the help desk was quick in their response. For those who are getting married at the same location that the flowers are being delivered (my parents' home), I wish we would have done all of the floral arrangements the day before instead of 2 days before. And our spray roses came a day later and were a little sad looking. But overall, we were very happy with the service and highly recommend to others!

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

Redlands, CA
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves St. Jo, TX

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

I’m so glad we went with the Faux Bouquets for our wedding florals. Everything was beautiful and nobody believed me when I said they weren’t live flowers. If you are worried about how they will look, DONT be!!! There is a great variety of flowers on their website and I am so happy with how everything turned out. If you are renting flowers, the return process is SO easy!

I had a DIY wedding and Bloom Culture was absolutely perfect for us! We had bud vases on each table and did not have traditional bouquets. Bloom Culture was very flexible and worked with us on our unique requests. I highly recommend hiring them for your next wedding or event!

Petal and Party Co

5.0

Keller, TX
  • Starts at $550
  • Serves St. Jo, TX

We're passionate about all things flowers and events! Owners Autumn & Ashlinn have worked in the events industry for over 10 years with hundreds of weddings behind our belts. Fun fact, we also run a wedding venue in Keller, TX where we are in the in-house florist!

I purchased a DIY kit for my wedding in April and the flowers were beyond gorgeous! The whole process couldn’t have been easier. The kit came with flower recipes and a guide that told me exactly how many stems to use and when to make each item! I looked into Sam’s and Trader Joe’s but they just didn’t have the flower variety I was looking for and they definitely don’t offer these extra DIY resources. I was able to sub out some of the flowers and I couldn’t have been happier. Highly recommend!
