The Corry House is named after the Corry family that settled the land in the late 1700's. That same family built the house in 1869, and continues to own the land to this day, ten generations later. After meeting and marrying in Greenville in 1989, Drs. Bo and Ruby Cheves moved to Bo's family farm in Union Point, Georgia. Here, they began the work of remodeling the 150-year-old farmhouse and surrounding grounds. As their two kids grew older, Bo and Ruby decided to build a new house overlooking the Ogeechee River further back on the property in 2007. With the help of Erin and Stanton Porter, The Corry House held its first wedding in 2010. At that time, we didn't have our reception barn or the meadow and forest wedding sites. Folks got married in the garden or in front of the farmhouse. After a few years of weddings, Bo and Ruby decided to run with it and built our temperature-controlled barn in 2014.

The Ivy on the Plains is a beautiful venue with plenty of space to accommodate all of your needs. The owners are very kind and passionate about what they do. The Dogwood barn is situated on a 600 acre ranch. Enter the gravel road, wood fence on each side lined with oak trees.It’s a 7500 sqft climate controlled newly built barn, rustic & elegant everywhere you turn.Chandeliers run down the middle, with blown glass fixtures & iron wall sconces.The ranch is so peaceful & surrounded by nature.The ceremony overlooks an 18 acre stocked pond, permanent wood benches with backs, no hassle of moving chairs here.The barn can seat up to 300 but can be conformed to a small wedding.
