The Foundation of Light is a spiritual center for meditation. The study and regular practice of meditation, as an aid to the expansion of consciousness and self-realization, is a fundamental part of all Foundation of Light activities. The founders of the Foundation of Light, John and Kate Payne, along with Mabel DeMotte Beggs, were experts in many forms of ancient healing techniques. Built in 2000, the main Foundation of Light building has several diverse rooms available, depending on your group size and needs.

The Museum of the Earth offers a unique setting for your wedding. The mix of stunning architecture, amazing displays, and open spaces are perfect for large gatherings and make this an enjoyable space for all your guests. The Paleontological Research Institution’s Museum of the Earth was established in 2003 to provide the general public with a unique opportunity to explore our world through a mix of natural history displays, interactive science features, and art exhibitions. The museum’s 8,000-square-foot permanent exhibition takes visitors on a journey through 4.5 billion years of history, from the Earth’s origin to the present day. Through hands-on, visual exhibitions and outreach, the Museum of the Earth encourages critical thinking about life on Earth in the past and today, and how our species is affecting the natural world.

Cayuga Nature Center provides a rustic, natural setting to host weddings. Our historic 1930’s Lodge, and 120 acres of woods, trails, gorges, and waterfalls, offer the perfect setting for a beautiful and memorable celebration.

The Port Watson Mini-Conference Center is the premier venue for gatherings in the Cortland area. Located just minutes from historic downtown Cortland this family-owned business is centrally located between Syracuse, Ithaca, and Binghamton. Three indoor event spaces are available for rent, suitable to host anything from small intimate gatherings to large weddings of up to 100 guests. Our newest addition, the pavilion, is our outdoor venue perfect for weddings looking to take advantage of the warmer weather. Each room is entirely customizable to your needs and for your convenience, all tables and chairs are included in your rental.

The Orchards barn is set in picturesque Jamesville, New York - located just 10 miles south of downtown Syracuse, New York. The North Farm is a large, recently renovated wedding event venue located in Geneva, New York. Consisting of repurposed 19th century dairy barns, a large courtyard and a manicured ceremony location with gorgeous lake views, this venue is perfect for rustic wedding couples who are looking for something truly unique. With six different gathering spaces available, you’ll have an environment that is centered around sustainability and flexibility, allowing you to create a completely customized and memorable experience that you’ll cherish for a lifetime. There is no place more beautiful than the Finger Lakes, and we are excited to bring a destination to the community where people can come together to enjoy each other, laugh and sip delicious artisan spirits. The venue also offers a tasting room with seating for 84 inside, a wall of full glass accordion doors that open to an outdoor balcony that seats 60, all with spectacular scenic lake views, and is well appointed with a full bar, whiskey barrel sinks in the restrooms, a viewing window of the still, and an aged tin ceiling that sets the space apart from others. The new 4992-square foot Finger Lakes venue features a state-of-the-art distilling room that is highlighted by a custom-built, 500-gallon copper, two-stage hybrid pot still/ reflux column still from HBS Copper, the commercial division of Hillbilly Stills in Tennessee.

The Brewster Inn is a fine dining establishment with several different dining rooms to accommodate both small and large parties. We are able to host private functions ranging from 20 – 50 people and wedding receptions up to 180 people. We also have 17 beautifully appointed guest rooms, five of which have breath-taking views of the lake. Our brick terrace with a seasonal awning overlooks the spacious lawn down to the lakefront and is a perfect setting for dining and dancing. For your convenience we have created two wedding options – sit down and food stations, each of which is based on a four-hour reception. In-season, weddings are held primarily on Saturdays. We offer afternoon weddings from 1-5pm. There are some exceptions during the off-season for smaller more intimate receptions.

You will find us on a small street in the heart of downtown Geneva, surrounded by exciting new restaurants, trendy bars, and creative spaces. This venue is perfect for intimate wedding receptions, ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, brunches, bridal showers, engagement celebrations, engagement and wedding photo shoots, and more. We complement larger event venues in the Finger Lakes by offering a unique urban space to celebrate. We recommend our in-house caterer - FLX Table - run by Master Sommelier Christopher Bates, who will work with you on everything from an extravagant multiple-course menu and wine pairings, to mouth-watering barbecue with excellent local microbrews! However, we allow other caterers as well.
