Having grown up on a farm in Central Illinois, I am a filmmaker living in Chicago. I began doing wedding videography in 2017 while living in Bend, Oregon. I love intimate, small-scale weddings and elopements.

Better 1/2 started in 2011 in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2019, I relocated to Chicago. I've filmed about 30 weddings for couples with a range of venues and guest counts. Hi! I'm Soohyun, I began working with my creative partner Saehee shorty after our wedding in 2009. I has been a fine arts photographer for more than 19 years, and my wife Saehee began as a video editor in television and radio but found her passion behind the lens.
