Joshua and Carlyn founded Grace Statesville in 2011. Back then, we both found ourselves in pretty much every role required to keep the venue running and making sure the weddings went off without a hitch. Swanee Theatre opened as a single screen movie theatre in 1940 and operated as such up until the 70's. In 2019 it was purchased and renovated into what it is now, a beautiful historic entertainment venue. Swanee Theatre can be transformed into a laid back boho style wedding or dressed up for a formal black tie wedding. The possibilities are truly endless here at Swanee Theatre. The restored Historic Melrose Knitting Mill is a three-story brick mill, nestled in downtown Raleigh. The venue boasts exposed bricks, rough cut beams and twenty-four arched windows, providing an abundance of natural light.
