About this venue
Located five miles from Tryon Palace in New Bern, our 33-acre farm offers the best of an idyllic, country setting, as well as the conveniences of the city for the gathering of your dreams. Discover the magic of our farmhouse, built in 1870, surrounded by trees hundreds of years old and a private pond. Stay on property before and after your wedding at our 3 bed, 2 bath farmhouse, while being within a 7-minute drive to downtown New Bern and all the bars, restaurants and entertainment on offer there.

The Secret Garden
Surrounded by huge jasmine bushes, the garden in the back of the farmhouse is the perfect space to put up a tent for a wedding.
You have use of both the house, with two bathrooms, and the garden to design the wedding of your dreams.

The Farmhouse Great Room
A beautiful historic room with very high, period ceilings with original hardwood floors from just after the Civil War.
The 19th-century room features original built-in bookcases and a modern gas fireplace, and opens out with two sets of French doors onto a very long, screened-in porch with additional table seating for at least 10. There is a pocket door to close off kitchen for catering. From the porch, you can exit either side to be in the garden.

The Lavender Room
On the right wing of the house is The Lavender Room, which features a king-size bed, oak desk and sitting area.
This space could be used by the groomsmen or the groom's side of the family to get ready before a wedding ceremony, or to spend the weekend.

Ye Olde Back Porch
A beautiful screened-in porch that includes a long table, 8 gold Chivari chairs and two antique white end chairs.
The back porch overlooks the garden, with exit doors on either end of the porch to come and go from the farm yard as you please. Ideal space for rehearsal dinners and food and drink setup for guests. There is a separate door for food to come in and out of kitchen for staff to use.

A beautiful, original room with high period ceilings, a gold upholstered canopy bed and a window that looks out onto the pond.
The bridal suite features a king-size canopy bed, a small office / getting ready space, a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom. Antique furniture, including a vanity, stool, and art adorn the space, with an antique tapestry hung above the bed.

Lovely Property
Kristin goes above and beyond to ensure everything is ‘just right’ for guests. If something goes wrong, she sees to it personally, rolls up her sleeves and gets the work done herself. Highly recommend booking your event or overnight accommodation with Kristin! The Enchanted Oaks House Farm is such a beautiful property too!
