When clients ask me how long I have been doing this, my answer is: "I have about 13 years of experience doing makeup but 7 years doing makeup professionally". I started off initially doing makeup for friends and family, then family friends + friends of friends. I then got a job working at Sephora where I learned a lot about products and working w/ different skin types/tones, ages and styles of makeup etc for 7 years.
