Hi, I’m Cathy Melando—Congrats on your engagement! I’m a registered officiant in NJ and licensed in NY. I create personalized, meaningful ceremonies that reflect each couple’s unique love story. I also write custom scripts for first-time officiants. Whether you're planning a small gathering or a big celebration, I offer traditional or modern ceremonies for all couples. Our goal is to make the creation process of your ceremony stress free and perfect! We begin with a personal consultation to learn your thoughts, dreams and direction for your ceremony. We will get to know each other, which will enable us to place the perfect words on the page that reflect your relationship.

Grounded in Franciscan life for twenty years and ordained in 1980, Father Vince now ministers as a married priest. As a social worker, Father Vince blends the tenets of psychology and spirituality in pursuit of wholeness and intimacy. He has worked throughout the Americas at Covenant House, college campus ministry; and social work and bereavement services for hospice care. He holds masters degrees in Divinity and Social Work. Father Vince lives in Essex County, New Jersey, with his wife, Christine; they have two grown children.​

He approaches his guidance in a biblically based, structured, relatable, and systematic manner, with clear owned outcomes and next steps. Lawrence will guide you through the wedding planning process with warmth, intentionality and clarity. Lawrence offers a wide array of services to guide you through your wedding and beyond. He provides both wedding officiating services and vow renewals, as well as pre-marital counseling and ongoing marriage counseling.

I’ve been a certified officiant since 2017, and my path to this work has been anything but traditional—in the best way. L+A stands for Luz y Amor—light and love in Spanish. It’s more than a name; it’s a belief system. I believe we are all energy, all light…and when two people come together in love, something truly magical happens.
