Pick a Bloom was founded on love and laughter in small-town Surry, Virginia by us, a mother daughter duo, who wanted to see our vision of fresh flower alternatives bloom to life. We work primarily with 100% REAL preserved and dried flowers and foliage.

My name is Rachel and I am the lead floral designer of Velvet Blooms. After studying music with an emphasis in vocals, I began to rethink what my creative path would be. With mentors such as Laura Williams of Poppy Hill Flowers and good friend Kelsea Olivia Gaynor of East Olivia, I began my journey into floral design and never looked back!

Leta Verbena is a boutique floral studio based in Redondo Beach and is owned and managed by Emma L. Seitz. She started her wedding career as a wedding planner back in 2014, and her experiences gives her a different perspective for floral design, as she deeply understands the logistics, details and flow needed for a successful wedding day. Florals were added to the business in 2018, becoming the sole focus in 2020. Emma loves how florals have pushed her creativity to new limits, and enjoys how every wedding is a unique and exciting challenge.

Her journey started at the age of six years old, Melissa-May was surrounded by all aspects of creativity. Her ability to visualize things, put them onto paper and create anything from scratch was also apparent at a young age when she completed an illustration of her dream house, then constructed an entire floor plan and a model house made out of popsicle sticks. Furthermore, at the age of 12, her friend’s mother noticed Melissa-May’s gift of artistry and requested that she create cartoon place cards for her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah. She later was asked to create the invitations and centerpieces for her best friend’s Debutant ball.

I’m Natalie, the artist behind wildly designed. My love for florals blossomed when I was sixteen years old. I was working as a designer in a flower shop and took an immediate interest in knowing everything there was to know about floral design. As someone who has always been wild at heart, floral design has been a pathway to freely express myself.

Petal Town Flowers is a family-owned studio florist. Martin is the main business manager, and also the lead designer behind every wedding, event or single arrangement we create. Elizabeth is the wedding coordinator, marketing and website manager. Working together we put our personal attention into every event, and work directly with each client to make sure all details are taken care of. We, my husband and I, started Fleurology for the need for a stronger connection with clients + the want to spend more time at home. We didn't know what we were in for with Fleurology Designs, but after 10 years in the floral industry (7 of those being with weddings and private events) my husband told me it was now or never to pursue my passions of being a business owner. Fast forward to today, 5.5 years later, we have a personal and customized wedding experience.
