In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks). Fast forward to the early 1990s, Warren’s grandson, John Salkowsky, decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and open a wedding photography and video studio. Hi there! My name is Taylor and I would LOVE to join you on your special day! Some background on me, I’ve been shooting for as long as I can remember. I know that’s something you hear photographers say all the time but in my case, it’s true. At 6 years old I was running around my grandparents garden with my Polaroid camera capturing every bee and butterfly I could. When I turned 12 I got my first professional camera and from that moment on I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. Fast forward to today, I’ve got 6 years of professional work under my belt and many more to come! Let’s make memories together!

Ever since I have had photography in my life I have always wanted to capture all types of love people share with each other, no matter who they are, who they love, or where they’re from. To be able to share stories through photos has always been a passion of mine and I hope to continue on this path indefinitely.

We are the parents of six humans, four cats, and seven chickens. We love all things spooky, vintage, and we're fairly certain our bodies are 90% coffee. In case you can't tell from this photo from our wedding: we're incessantly goofy. We make our home in Birmingham, Alabama and we recently moved into our dream house: an old, spooky fixer-upper with enough land for a mini-farm. Our hearts weren't made to live without adventure, so we love to travel whenever we can!

I’m a music-loving, art nerd located near Detroit, Michigan. I’m sure if we were to meet in person it would be over coffee, hell maybe (hopefully) even a joint. I’ve been in love with art and anything weird since I was a kid and I still try to weave that child-like vulnerability into my art. I feel incredibly grateful I get to do something I love everyday. Photography, for me, is more than just a profession - it's a heartfelt expression of who I am.
