The Fox and Bear Lodge was the perfect venue for our wedding. Janice, who runs the inn, was an absolute delight and took wonderful care of us and our guests all weekend, with her incredible breakfasts being a standout. Jenn, the day-of coordinator, was equally amazing—organized, attentive, and ensured everything went smoothly, allowing us to enjoy our day stress-free. For context, we had 65 people at our wedding total, including us and two children. This felt like the perfect size for our group, especially given the necessity of the tent due to chilly October nights. The lodge itself is charming, with great rooms and fantastic amenities. Despite its location at the corner of two streets, we barely noticed any traffic. While nearby lodging options are limited, most of our guests were satisfied with the Quality Inn just 10 minutes away. The venue struck a perfect balance between outdoorsy and chic, offering more flexibility than other venues. Though there were some additional but reasonable fees, it was wonderful to have our rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks, and brunch all at the lodge, making it the ideal fit for our special day. We are so thankful that we decided to stay over an extra night, without any of our guests, to get to truly enjoy the lodge a bit more before checking out. We fell in love with this venue the moment we drove up the road. My husband and I grew up in NJ, live in Brooklyn, and were looking for a venue that felt like a nature retreat while still being accessible for our friends and family. Milford is a great town just down the road and the hotels are so close too. Linnea and Alec were so communicative and helpful with the endless lists of questions we sent them. We cannot thank them enough for setting the stage for the weekend - and I'm just so impressed with how seamless and easy it felt to use their venue. We were struck just by the beauty of the whole property. It's absolutely marvelous! We were surrounded by charming little bunnies and butterflies the whole weekend. We took advantage of the place for the whole weekend - a Friday night pizza truck party, multiple pool and hot tub hangouts, and a Sunday bagel brunch in the barn. Everybody was raving about the barn, farmhouse, and cottage. The sunset during the reception created a great atmosphere for our guests to congregate and enjoy the lawn. We felt right at home and it made our wedding so incredibly special.

I recently hosted my wedding at The Skylands Manor and was absolutely blown away. From the moment of arrival, the level of care we received from the staff was warming. Maitre'd Linda went above and beyond to create the most seamless day possible. From the cocktail hour to the dinner reception, the food was absolutely DELISH! If you have the opportunity take advantage of the fresh mozzarella station. Beautiful presentation and unique fresh pulled mozzarella. I highly recommend Frungillo Hospitality Group as a catering vendor. There are not enough kind words and warm thanks I would give them!

The Old Tappan Manor was an exceptional choice for our wedding venue. On the day of, the venue was beautifully decorated and truly a showstopper. The variety of food and drinks available provided great value, and the bridal assistants were with us all night, making sure we were well-fed and hydrated. I don’t even know where to begin to explain how absolutely amazing the Grand was for the best night of our lives. We attended a wedding for close friends here two years ago, immediately fell in love with the Grand and knew this was where we wanted to get married. Fast forward to our engagement; from the moment we first reached out, our Maitre D Sal and his team were always professional, extremely friendly, and timely in all of their communications, providing us with accurate information every step of the way. The quality of their work was simply beautiful - the venue itself was clean, modern, and elegantly appointed, creating the perfect backdrop for our special day. Sal, Manny, Evelina and the entire team at The Grand went above and beyond to ensure our wedding ran smoothly, and our guests have been raving for days about the massive cocktail hour, the exceptional quality of the food, and the stunning ballroom and all other facilities. We have had a bunch of friends and family reach out to tell us that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. The attention to detail is simply unmatched. We have been to at least 20 weddings and cannot compare the Grand to anything else in the tri-state area. We really could not have asked for a better venue to celebrate our marriage. We HIGHLY recommend the Grand and we cannot wait to go back as guests again.

All of my officiants love working at Barrow House. It's a beautiful, intimate space with terrific food and service (Melissa, the coordinator there is so responsive and easy to work with!) We started the wedding planning process by starting to look at venues. Falkirk was the first venue we had toured and immediately fell in love with it. From seeing the golf course, the waterfall, the gazebo, and incredible views, it was breathtaking and we imagined ourselves getting married there immediately. We met with Andrea during our tour, and had the pleasure of getting to work with her throughout our planning process, and was absolutely incredible on the day of our wedding! She made herself available to answer our (many) questions, going over timelines, and ensuring that our vision and dreams for the day came true. They had it all, from phenomenal staff to incredible food, not to mention the stunning views. We could not have asked for better! They truly make you feel like a VIP throughout the entire wedding weekend. Andrea was an absolute gem to work with, and made sure everything we dreamed of came true. And when we got the opportunity to have fireworks during our reception?! To this day, we have friends and family still talking about the firework show. Andrea worked seamlessly with other vendors and the firework staff to make sure it was a surprise show that no one would forget. Our wedding day was a dream, and we are so glad we had it at the Falkirk Estate and Country Club. We are so incredibly happy we got the pleasure to work with them, and would recommend any couples that are starting the wedding planning process, to reach out to them.

From start to finish, they were on top of every single detail, making the weeks leading up to our big day as relaxing and enjoyable as can be. Magnificent place for an intimate, unique wedding experience. This is not your standard wedding venue that handles multiple events at a time and confines its guests to the reception hall or at best to a small outdoor space. The is the ultimate splendor of having an entire estate and staff dedicated to your intimate experience. My experience: a quintessential gift that paired with the thoughtful favor memorialized the event. As we drove up to the gated 1920’s estate overlooking the lake and manicured landscape budded with mature trees surrounding the landmark Spanish colonial which beckoned us in, Rushmore “had us at hello.” This home spoke to us. Beyond the craftsmanship and its meandering outdoor spaces, we felt drawn to this majestic property. “I was within and without” is how I would describe it ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby.. Blending into to the historical landscape, our wedding theme was simply Gatsby. "Can't repeat the past? Why of course you can!". This magical place transported us and our guests back to the lavish roaring period of a happy by gone era. How appropriate a medicine for today when we all seek an opportunity to unite in a safe social gathering. What better way to splendor the outdoors over many acres of pure solitude for you and your special guests alone to explore. Seeing everyone enjoying themselves was gratifying. All our guests told me how much fun they had. Thanks to Russell, Karen and Beth for making our event all the more magical and flawless. They didn’t miss a beat. The outdoor after party by the lake Russell set for us and some of our guests with a bon fire was the topper of the evening. It was lovely strolling around the lake after dinner. Russell and team equipped us with a customized service and were gracious with accommodating our special needs. One of which was by default an unforgettable personal experience beyond our dreams - a portal to a happier time. Beth was a super wedding planner and Karen helped with setting the stage for my Gatsby old Hollywood décor in the reception. Another topper to this event was the most decadent catering of Pamela’s Traveling Feast. She prepared the perfect menu and with varying serving stations to satisfy every palette. The wedding cake was incredible, nothing of this world. I cannot describe how amazing the wedding cake was, but I’ve never tasted anything like it. Paired with the homemade pies were simply to die for. All the food she prepared was of the same caliber, simply divine. Russell recommended Pamela who is top on their list of caterers no doubt. We were fortunate to have Pamela and I can’t tell you how many compliments I received from our guests on her culinary talents! She is a must have! No one else can possibly compare! Reverend Jim Rooney also recommended by Rushmore was truly amazing and personable who made us feel extra special. When we were saying our vows as Christian looked at me, “it was like all women want to be looked at by a man.” Then he kissed me “and the incarnation was complete.” ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby. All these elements collided like the stars and together created an unforgettable moment in time that is now bound to this magical place. I will never forget our experience at Rushmore. If you are looking for the most incredible experience for your wedding, its Rushmore. I hopeful, dreaming grandly sought a special place to hold my wedding and I landed it at the Rushmore Estates.

Altesi and their team did an ABSOLUTELY phenomenal job with food at our wedding! Paolo is the nicest, most professional gentleman in the food business and went above and beyond to help us make our dream wedding menu. We went for so many tastings, just because we could, and we were obsessed with the food! It is some of the best food in all of NYC and such an affordable price. Our food was the most important thing to us at our wedding, we wanted there to be a variety, we wanted it to be yummy and we wanted there to be a lot of it so our guests would never become hungry. They nailed it! From the service to the attention to detail, everything was perfect and extremely affordable. It was also amazing to be able to have one vendor for all the food, servers, dessert and bar!

(Long review but worth it... trust me) Not sure if a wedding could ever be called "stress-free" but I'm tempted to say.... it basically was. I would never be able to say that if it weren't for everyone at Crabtree's: Kim, Leo, the Barbaras, everyone. Kim was there for us during the planning every step of the way. From the beginning, she was easy to reach and never more than an email away to answer my millions of questions. Furthermore, her expertise was extremely helpful in helping us to complete our vision. We were planning this wedding based off of the little we've seen at other weddings and a lot of Pinterest, but Kim has been doing this for years and knows exactly how to make a vision into a reality. Leo, our maitre'd was phenomenal as well. He was there every step of the day, making sure it went smoothly. He was even there to help our toddler flower girls get down the aisle when they were, well.... being toddlers lol. If we needed something, I'd turn around and he was there. Even when we didn't know we needed something, he took the initiative to make sure we were comfortable. Like when he realized we didn't get back to our dinner right away he brought them back to make sure it didn't get cold. Or when he realized we barely ate our dinner, he made sure we had some food to eat when everything was over. He is incredible thoughtful and amazing at what he does. We didn't need for anything because we had Leo by our side. The food.... Let's be real, a lot of wedding food/catering hall's food is... meh. Not at Crabtree's! If you read a little about them, you'll see that they take pride in their food. Unlike a lot of venues, where the food at the tasting is delicious but then the day of is lacking (in both taste and presentation), that was not the case. The food was JUST as delicious and well-presented as it was at the tasting. Our guests were very pleased with the food, even the biggest food snobs in attendance. I have friends still (we got married 7 months ago) telling me how they wish they could go back to our cocktail hour for some snacks! The space.... Not much to say other than GORGEOUS! Minimal decor is necessary because the outdoor and indoor space are beautiful as is. If you're fortunate to have good weather like we did, the garden is beautiful, especially with the changing leaves in autumn. So many guests have told me how this was one of the most beautiful weddings they've been too. The value... Weddings are rarely cheap, especially if you have a specific vision of that day. What I've learned is that if you're looking within a certain price range, and something is a little bit above, take a look at what they're offering in that price. See if there are ways to shave off a few dollars per person. Initially, we thought Crabtree's would be above our budget but when we looked at what they were offering and some of the options they offered to save some money, we were getting far more than other venues we had looked at. Do yourself a favor, take a visit to Crabtree's, sit down with Kim, and you'll see the value in what they are offering. We are not rich by any means but this was worth every one of our hard-earned pennies. Crabtree's and the people there will forever have a special place in our hearts. I cannot recommend them enough!

Glasshouse Chelsea was the perfect backdrop to our wedding day. Although the weather was perfect, this venue's value is its beauty in every weather and in every light of day or night. We worked with both Chelsee and Nikki and they were both professional and gracious. Their communication style was direct, prompt and transparent. Nikki even found us cocktail napkins at the last minute, helping the bar service. The venue itself, both the 21st floor and 14th floor, was stunning, upscale and practical. At first, I thought that elevator traffic might be an issue, but it was seamless throughout the night. The balcony was the perfect golden-hour-to-sunset photo background and proved to be a nice respite from the dance floor throughout the night. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue.

A Fairytale Wedding at Reid Castle. Everyone still raves about our wedding until now. We have searched far & high for a castle to have our wedding and Reid Castle was the only one that suited our needs; from a beautiful stain glassed chapel conveniently next door, a classic reception hall fit for royalty, gourmet food and excellent service. At first, I didn’t know how we were going to put it all together. Elena, Reid Castle Wedding Coordinator, gave us referrals and helped us plan our event from ceremony, cocktail hour to our reception. It was flawless. We had a wonderful florist, internationally renowned violinist, Daisy Jopling, pianist, saxophonist, DJ/MC and most importantly...our family. We are happy with where we chose. We had our wedding at Grand Cascades in June 2022 and had such an amazing experience! Throughout the planning process we worked with Sarah, who was awesome all the way from planning the details, picking up the phone whenever I needed her, providing advice on anything I asked, and all the way through to the day of. She handled everything that came up with grace and kindness, even in tough family situations that arose. We chose CS Grand Cascades for a few key reasons (1) the amazing menu and presentation of the food (2) the beautiful ceremony, cocktail hour and reception spaces no matter rain or shine and (3) the value you get for your money. We also LOVED the fact that the hotel was on-site and we didn’t need to worry about transportation for ourselves or our guests throughout the day and afterwards. This provided SO many advantages, including access to the bridal suite all day and being able to take advantage of the hotel bar on-site for a causal after party without any extra cost to us. It is definitely an under-rated venue in NJ that we are SO happy we found! We were able to stick to our ideal budget while not comprising on quality of the event. I have been told by so many people how we threw the BEST wedding they’ve ever been to. The event staff is a well-oiled machine and truly think of everything to make your day the most special and seamless experience. Highly recommend to all future brides!!

We had the most wonderful experience having our wedding reception at Bryant Park Grill! As native NYCers, we wanted a venue that had an iconic NY feel and this certainly fit the bill. As an added benefit, it is very convenient to get to from basically anywhere in the city and is walking distance to a million hotels for out of towners. The food and setting are phenomenal (we still hear about it from our guests 5 months later). Our contact person leading up to the event, Kristi, was very responsive and worked with us to fit everything we wanted into the space, including integrating outside vendors seamlessly. I got married in this space January 20th with a party of 45. A perfect amount because we had the perfect amount of space to eat, dance, and drink. We had our wedding reception on the rooftop and also stayed in the penthouse suite and it was the best experience we could have asked for! Krystal and Sophie went WAY above and beyond to make our celebration and our stay go smoothly and something we will never forget! The cocktails were delicious, everyone was accomodating (including complimentary champagne in the room) and the Japanese soaking tub on the roof was sublime! Soaking in the tub with the view of the Empire State Building is a night I’ll look forward to repeating… and I would recommend for anyone else to do the same!

The Sanctuary on Roosevelt Island provided the dreamiest backdrop for our wedding last month! Their entire team went above and beyond for us on our big day. Our friends and family raved about the location, the ambiance, the food, the service. About an hour before our ceremony started, it began to pour outside- and we were meant to have an outdoor ceremony! My husband and I sat in our vintage taxi parked out front of the venue, and watched The Sanctuary staff run around in the torrential downpour to save our ceremony and move everything indoors- and the fact that the rain only put us about 15 minutes behind the original schedule?! I’m still not sure how they managed it. Would also like to send a special shout out to Amelia, who more recently joined the Sanctuary team as event coordinator- she was not part of the team when we first signed out contract, but she proved to be an invaluable resource to us on the day of the wedding. She is a fabulous addition! Alfonso gave us our first tour of the venue that made us fall in love with the space. Frank was so patient and kind and answered all of our questions- and even helped us accommodate a last minute addition guest who was originally too ill to attend our wedding but who luckily recovered well enough to be able to come. Thank you again to the Sanctuary team from the bottom of our hearts for helping make our wedding the most magical and special day of our life!

We could not be more happy with how our wedding turned out at Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club. There are so many things that make this venue special. The service, the scenery, the food, and the run of show were all spectacular. The service. We received attentive and detailed service throughout the entire planning process. The director of events, Bob, answered all of our emails promptly and with detail. He is a wonderful man who goes above and beyond to make sure that we were thoroughly satisfied and feeling well taken care of. Bob was so fantastic at helping us come up with solutions to challenges that emerged at different stages of the planning process, and we couldn’t have pulled off the party we wanted without his patience, thoughtfulness, and support. On the day of, we were made to feel so special by all the staff at MBYC. We were given a personal “bridal attendant” who followed us around all day and attended to any needs we had that came up- like holding my bouquet during photos, getting us fresh drinks, grabbing some items from the bridal suite. All of our guests were telling us how impressed they were by the level of service and consideration they received from all the staff. Everyone was kind, professional, and in great spirits. The scenery. The venue space at MB&YC is truly RIGHT on the water! It is so incredibly gorgeous. The cocktail hour is on a beautiful deck over the water. The reception is in a ballroom with giant windows facing the water. The space does not need much more decoration to feel special. It is elegant and special, yet practical, home-y, and not at all stuffy. The food. We were so impressed by the food. Typically wedding food is basic and mass produced, but every dish at MB&YC felt special. We had so many friends after the wedding recounting their favorite bites throughout the night. The mac and cheese bites as well as the New York Strip Steak were definitely crowd pleasers. Not only was the food plentiful, but it was all also incredibly tasty. Bob and his staff also made sure to take care of our guests with dietary restrictions. Everyone ate well at our wedding. The run of show. Bob and his team were working very hard the evening of our wedding to ensure the schedule was kept and everything went as planned. Leading up to the event, Bob heard all of our concerns and desires, and he was able to execute a fabulous event the evening of our wedding. I was never once concerned that something was missing or forgotten, I trusted Bob and I knew he was going to make sure we had a perfect night. Overall, definitely book your wedding here at MB&YC! We can’t speak highly enough about our special day here!

From the moment we inquired about hosting our wedding at Ravel Hotel/The Penthouse, the staff was incredibly prompt, helpful, and organized in their communication. The Foundry is a beautiful venue and so easy to work with! Angela and Lindsey were so helpful and responsive. We couldn’t have picked a more beautiful setting, it was just perfect. My ONLY complaint is that even though they do not book any other events for the same time, they charge extra to book any rooms in addition to the main space and courtyard.

The Gem Saloon hosted the surprise engagement party I threw for my fiancé and it was the perfect spot. Starting first with my communication with Nicole, who is the events manager, she was incredibly responsive and helpful, as we sent numerous emails back and forth throughout the planning process. Having someone so readily available and quick to answer questions is a huge perk in my book, I feel without that, that’s where you lose a lot of business from the start. Then fast forward to the day off, the Gem allows you to bring outside decorations and desserts (if you wish) and do not charge a cake cutting fee. Being able to put your own decorative touch on your event can be special so it’s nice that Gem allows you that option. In terms of food, I did place a food order with Gem from their platter menu. All of my guests said how excellent the food was - I personally can sway that the beef skewers were awesome, highly recommend! The bartender assigned to my event was also lovely, she managed the bar swiftly (had about 55 guests) all on her own and had a very generous pour. The last person of note was Bernard. He was the on site manager the day of my event and he was a sweetheart. He checked in every so often to see if there was anything he could do or that we needed, incredibly attentive. Then when my fiancé and I were waiting on our Uber to leave the event, he gave us each a free glass of champagne for one last celebratory drink while we waited. Overall, everyone went above and beyond to make this day special and my guests felt that, they couldn’t have more than enough good things to say. One even said, I’ve lived and worked in NYC my whole life, how did I never know about this place? So if you’re on the fence about Gem, don’t hesitate, they’re absolutely great. And as someone who can be a critic of overly positive reviews, I will give the one negative that I have, was just that during the event (and keep in mind I reserved the second floor mezzanine - which was great to feel separated and private from the rest of the bar) that between being higher up and having around 55 people, it did get a bit hot up there, but you can always request that the air be turned down! All in all, 5/5 venue and party
