The twenty-five-acre property is easily accessible from main roads yet is secluded and surrounded by beautiful trees, farmland and a creek to offer our guests privacy. Situated on the property is a beautiful 1800’s Farmhouse, bank barn, granary, and other farm buildings. These buildings are all surrounded by trees and a flowing creek and features a tree lined farm lane and rolling fields. It is as peaceful as it comes, feeling completely secluded from the outside world.

I grew up running around after my mom in her gardens and spent most of high school in the art department. I went off to design school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Soon after, I started my first “real” design job and have been working in the industry in either commercial or residential design ever since, giving me thirty-five years of design experience. A second related career in Floral Design was added to my skill set when I was employed as a part-time floral designer and trained at Longwood Gardens. I decorated twenty-one Christmas trees that year and did a lot of beautiful custom designs.

Helianthus is the Latin term for sunflower and comes from the root Helio and Greek Helios, meaning Sun. As sunflowers are growing and beginning to bloom, they turn their heads towards the sun - I find this to be a great analogy for faith in Jesus. As we are growing and blooming in any stage of life, we should be continually turning our heads to the Son.
