Starting with the owners, would be an easy one, they are some of the nicest people to work with. But instead, I’m going to start with the property overall. Every corner you turn every item you see has been handpicked by Jen and Steve to do nothing more than elevate your overall experience at the Dodson Orchard. The bridal quarters are gorgeous, but the grooms quarters just make you feel like you’re supposed to be at this venue. The reception hall, the barn, is the epitome of country chic. With a rustic feel and the beautiful, handcrafted touches, it is some thing that is really set apart from everything else you can imagine. The food is cooked by the owner Steve, who is one of the most excellent chefs I’ve had the privilege of meeting and working with. Sometimes you go to an event, and the food is dried out and over cooked, that never happens here, it is always a highlight of the venue. There’s not much more I can say about the orchard, the owners make you feel like family and add a personal touch to each and every event they put together. Go check this place out you won’t be disappointed!!

We were married at Laumeier Sculpture Park in 1999, so when our 25th Silver Anniversary rolled around this year we decided to do it again!! This park has always been a favorite of ours since high school - so to return to the original spot meant so much to us. The staff at Laumeier are just amazing! They were quick with responses to questions and went above and beyond with the planning. We live out of town and they were gracious enough to meet with me when I came to town a few weeks before to walk through everything ahead of time. The day of, the staff did everything possible to accommodate our wishes and be sure other park goers knew that the space was saved for a wedding. We just cannot say enough about this park and venue for weddings. Beautiful setting, easy to access for all the guests and top notch staff - hopefully we will do it again when the Golden Anniversary comes around!! If you’re thinking of holding a wedding here, please do!! It is a magical place and photos after are so much fun!
