The Factory at Walton Mill is an all inclusive charming industrial-chic venue, located in historic cotton warehouses. Guests enter the Willow Room which is perfect for cocktail hours, small events or just as a welcoming lobby for the main event. The main event room, the Hawthorn Room, features warm wood walls and massive beams next to exposed brick with wonderful wood floors. This historic brick building in downtown Winder spans 25,000 sq ft over 2 floors with antique windows, hardwood floors and custom brushed steel work. A former textile mill, the buildings multiple purposes have been renovated into a full-production brewery and gorgeous event space with 24 custom brews, seltzers and homemade sodas. 1910. That’s when this studio was built. That’s more than 100 years ago. Before the Titanic. Before World War I. Of course, when they built it they didn’t know it was a studio. They thought they’d built a factory for transforming raw cotton into fire-retardant fabrics. And they did just that for about 84 years. Next came a few years of hand-wringing and a few more of neglect and abandonment. In 2007, they finally turned it over to Jason Ivany. He set it back on track and transformed it into the daylight studio it was always meant to be just before the 100 year mark.
