Opening its doors in 1997, Soho South is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Savannah, appropriately named after the iconic New York City neighborhood for its proximity to nearby shops and entertainment venues. Built originally as an automotive service station in 1945, the building sat vacant for a number of years before being transformed into the events venue you see today. The monumental, vast interior space includes the buildings original exposed elements such as the steel windows, iron trusses, and solid wooden garage doors. The overall atmosphere results in a versatile space that lends itself to a myriad of gatherings and special events.

With a seating capacity of 50 guests, the bar can also host rehearsal dinners. During cocktail hour, guests can mingle on the stylish balcony. The professional event staff is dedicated to providing couples with everything they need to host their special celebration. They can provide tables and chairs and the set-up and clean-up of the event space. China, glassware, and linens are available to dress the tables for your event. The Ashley, an Event and Banquet Hall in Charleston SC, is located in the West Ashley area at 1940 Sam Rittenberg Blvd, near Citadel Mall. The affordable and attractive event space is located in a free standing brick building with plenty of parking near beautiful downtown Charleston and is perfect for weddings and receptions, rehearsal dinners, corporate parties, graduation parties, reunions, birthday parties and more. The Ashley can accommodate groups from 20-100 attendees. We will work with all event planners, vendors and caterers in the Charleston area and can accommodate any request. We have brought The Ashley to West Ashley to fill the void of affordable venues and event spaces in the Charleston area.
