“I truly don’t know where to begin other than - Taryn is AMAZING and we are SO lucky we got to work with her for our wedding. From the start, I was obsessed with Taryn’s editing style and the way her images truly feel as close to real life as possible. Then we met her, and knew that with her very kind, fun, and energetic personality, she would be the perfect person to be with us during the most intimate moments of our wedding weekend AND wrangle our crazy family and friends.
There are so many details I want to touch on, but one that is hugely important to highlight is that Taryn was 38 weeks pregnant for our wedding weekend and took it on like the absolute champion that she is (photo attached!). She brought on an extra shooter at her own expense to help her, and assured us along the way that she will do everything necessary capture our weekend successfully. She did this, and so much more - we are so grateful to Taryn and her team of Kevyn and Kayla.
We asked Taryn to join us for 3 days of events and take on her first Indian wedding, and largest wedding, in the process. I am Sikh Punjabi and my husband is Persian, so we had a long weekend full of traditional and fusion events. It was so important to us that we work with someone willing to learn our traditions in a respectful and sincere way, and Taryn was beyond respectful and sincere in her work to understand our traditions and rituals. I truly gave her and her team *homework* that they spent time on to get all the necessary context, and she was open to me sharing examples of specific images I wanted captured for those cultural events.
It was so sweet to talk to my family after the wedding weekend, all of them asking me about Taryn and knowing that she truly became one of the family during all of our events! While we are still fresh from the wedding and excited to see the full swath of photos from Taryn and her team, she gave us a truly generous sneak peek that we are OBSESSED with!! Not only did she capture all the major moments, she captured the true emotion in the in-between. This is exactly what I was hoping for - to see the moments I wasn’t part of as the bride, to see my dear friends and family and how they felt, and all the parts of the day I wasn’t there for. Not only did they do this, but of course the main photos of my husband and I are beyond what I could imagine.
We had 2 ceremonies in one day on our wedding day, and this made for a seriously tight schedule - I was running behind multiple times, and Taryn and her team never made me feel rushed or judged. They were there to do so much more than just capture our day - they made us laugh, they helped bustle my dress, position my veil, guide us for the marriage certificate, and so much more. I even totally lost sight of our shot list, and Taryn had the perfect balance of reminding me, and flexing beyond what we asked along the way. It is a testament to the way Taryn leads, and the energy she creates amongst her team and what we felt as a couple from that.
Truly, I am so grateful that we had the gift of working with Taryn and her team to capture our wedding weekend. These images are the gifts that keep on giving, and the experience on the weekend itself was beyond what I could ever have asked for. I could not recommend Taryn highly enough!”
