For over 25 years, locally owned and operated Grand Street Cafe has been a Kansas City favorite for its modern American cuisine. Servicing events, we are your one stop shop event space. Whether you're here to celebrate your love story, organize a business meeting, host a dinner or brunch gathering, or anything in between, we are here to take care of you! Our event space can hold up to 300 guests, and includes linens, napkins, tables, chairs, a private bar, center pieces, parking and more!

The Pilgrim Center and its predecessor have been building community in midtown, Kansas City, Missouri for nearly 50 years. In the late-1960’s, a group of involved neighborhood leaders first gathered in Westport to address the issues of violence and crime that were overtaking their historic neighborhood. Out of their discussions, the Westport Allen Center was born, and two young seminarians, Roger and Liz Coleman, were invited to lead this organization. The Westport Allen Center purchased a building and began offering the space free to groups interested in improving the community. Before long, the first Free Clinic in the area opened, rehearsal space was provided for what would become the Kansas City Ballet, the Allen Edison school was founded, and affordable housing for seniors created in the neighborhood. Making childcare, education, healthcare, senior living, and arts programming available to the area were big steps in rebuilding a healthier community for Westport.

The Oliver Building Event Space encompasses 3 floors of a lovingly restored 1880s building in Kansas City's Historic West bottoms. With over 20,000 sqft the Oliver is perfect for everything from an intimate, romantic wedding, a throwdown party or corporate trade shows and seminars. Our event space is classically decorated with a timeless, European folk-tale inspired motif that reaches from floor to our beautiful 16 foot ceilings. The rustic full-wall windows let in gorgeous floods of sunlight by day and romantic views of the city by night. We would love to help host your event and perfectly curate your special day. Our space can seat up to 45 guests plus additional outdoor and side room accommodations if needed. Event Rentals start at $600 for a three hour rental. Our in-house catering menu is available for events and includes crepe bars, charcuterie options, bartending and more. Please contact us for more information regarding event planning, pricing, and catering. We are a full operational brunch restaurant so our event bookings can only be made after 4pm Thursday-Sunday.
