Welcome to Alber Orchard & Freedom Winery. Only 30 minutes west of Ann Arbor or an hour from Detroit, our beautiful orchard provides a perfect country get-away in the rolling hills of Manchester, Michigan. This beautiful land was deeded in 1832 by President Andrew Jackson, and acquired by John Alber in 1881 to operate as an orchard and cider mill. Today's owners, Mike and Therese Bossory, are preserving the centennial orchard, gazebo, barns, and cider press to assure your family or special group with a clean, safe, relaxing time on the farm. Alber Orchard is also the ideal location for your wedding or special event, and we look forward to hearing from you. The orchard is a gorgeous setting at any time of the year, and our preferred vendors are extraordinary.

The well manicured golf course and clubhouse are a photographer's dream. When you have your wedding here, you'll have a vast, beautiful landscape for taking pictures to capture one of the most important days of your life. The Legacy Barn is a new full-log style venue completed in July 2024. The Legacy Barn is a rustic, yet modern venue that is Insta-worthy in every way you can imagine. Venue is set in a historic building right in Downtown Monroe along the River Raisin. Outdoor space is available for a ceremony or cocktail party prior to your indoor reception. We rent the hall for the day, 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays for $750. We rent for an 8 hour block of time Sundays through Thursdays for $375. With either rental we charge a $250 security/clean up deposit. That is refunded after the hall has been returned in clean/undamaged condition. We only rent the hall, which includes use of the tables and chairs. Your rental fee that holds your date is non-refundable. You are free to have your ceremony and reception at the facility, many people have done this in the past. For linens, dishes, food etc, you would need to contact a provider for those. At the Brookshire Inn & Golf Club we pride ourselves in giving you exactly what you want and expect on your wedding day. Every event at Brookshire is unique because we know that every client has different styles and tastes. We will assist you throughout this process from choosing your menu to selecting specialty wines. We welcome your ideas and will work with them in planning your special day. Our banquet room can seat up to 200 guests. During the warmer months, we can accommodate up to 300 guests (this is an indoor/outdoor reception).
