We open our home to the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in our master suite. We also have a room for the groomsmen to get ready in once they arrive, with a flat screen TV, mini-fridge, couch, and arcade basketball. Have your ceremony next to the water, in front of the barn, down by the stream, or inside with beautiful sliding barn doors as your back drop and large pine beams overhead. Whatever you choose, we will customize it to make it all about you. Inside, your guests will appreciate the elegant venue with beams and stone fireplaces. Sugar Lake Lodge is a 135 acre estate with a seven acre private lake surrounded by Lake County Metro Parks. It features a gorgeous 6,700 square foot lodge & event center with an 1,800 square ft. private suite fully equipped with kitchen, fire place, and elegant bathroom all with a slight rustic feel. There is also a steam room for guests to unwind and enjoy. In addition, there is a lakefront event center with dual inside and outside fireplaces, and accommodations. For a more remote and primitive experience, there are secluded cabins complete with bathrooms and a pavilion with cooking grills sinks and fire pits amidst beautiful hiking and horseback riding trails.

The Norman D. Banquet Hall has a rich history of being part of our area’s special days and fun times. From its beginnings over 40 years ago as the Knights of Columbus Hall, meeting place and bingo hall. It has hosted numerous weddings, fundraisers, graduation parties, and birthday parties to mention a few. Three years ago, when thinking of selling the hall Robert Dille was approached by a decorator expressing an interest to buy a part of the hall. After much thought, he decided to take the chance on this incredibly talented and passionate lady.

Welcome. The Grounds of North Star is located on the path of our Lady of Guadalupe. At the center of the 50-acre farm stands the world’s largest statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
