A permanent gothic, high vaulted tent, referred to as Hickory Hall, is built using hickory oak trees that hold up the tent roof, and serves as the reception area. Hickory Hall's roof was handcrafted by the oldest tent makers in the US, originally circus tent makers in the 1800's. From the stained glass windows to the working bell, we've brought this historic gem back to her former glory. The property where the church is located was purchased in May of 1886 as the First Ave Methodist - Episcopal Church. The bell tower was donated and built in 1888, with a bell brought from a foundry in Boston.
