The Hinterland is a barn located in Avon CT. We have decided to take a leap of faith and restore the barn to become a beautiful, budget-friendly rustic wedding venue. Owner, Kristyn LeBarron, has been in the Bridal Industry for over 8 years as a stylist, manager, and bridal coordinator for an award-winning company. She sees the need in the industry for a wedding venue and event space that allows brides to enjoy their big day, even under all the regulations. The 4200-square-foot Mod House is an architectural gem built in 1959 by a follower of the renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The open-plan layout and floor-to-ceiling windows connect the spacious interior to the natural world outside. You can tie the knot on the lawn with a lush forested backdrop. After the ceremony, revel with your guests in Love, Velma, an underground speakeasy and dance club within the venue. The speakeasy comes fully equipped with a bar, projector, stage, and lights.
