Something Borrowed Blooms

4.9

  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Niles, MI

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

Awarded Best of Zola
Something Borrowed Blooms provided the most lifelike and luxurious floral arrangements for our wedding day. The bouquets, ceremony pieces and boutonnieres were all incredibly realistic and high quality, with vibrant colors and lush textures that exceeded our expectations. In fact, as my husband and I were taking photos in a park, a bee even tried to pollinate my bouquet, drawn to its beauty and realism. Getting the boxes to the venue did require a bit of coordination, but with a little help from friends we were able to easily box them up the day after the wedding and ship them off via FedEx. We saved easily 2,000 thanks to Something Borrowed and you would never know the flowers were fake.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.8

  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Niles, MI

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Jen is incredible and worth every penny! My husband and I weren't very sure about how we wanted our wedding florals to look. We also didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on flowers that would only last a day. We stumbled upon wood flowers and discovered Wood and Word Blooms! Working with Jen was wonderful and seamless. She helps you every step of the way to figure out what you would like. The DIY class was so much fun, and we were able to build all of our centerpieces, boutonnières, and bouquets. Jen also built my cascade bouquet and beautiful garland for us! Katie was a breeze to work with! I am not big on real flowers and wanted something that would represent my husband and I. Her prices are comparable to real flowers and are even more lovely! I love that her flower designs mimic real flowers and that foliage was an option. She took the care to make sure I had what I wanted and sent me multiple pictures during the process and of the finished result before we picked them up for the wedding. She accepted my feedback and made changes to the bouquets to match my vision. I still have my bouquet and my husbands boutonniere as keepsakes that remind me of our special day. I would use her services again and again!

Florist & Hound Design

5.0

  • Starts at $8,000
  • Serves Niles, MI

Florist & Hound Design is a boutique floristry company specializing in artful floral design of weddings, events, and editorials. Based in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, serving Chicago and Northern Illinois along with destinations! Our team is led by Klaudia Szymel, who has been in the floral industry for 6 years and supported by an incredibly talented team. Odie is the Hound. He's included in every proposal, is on every call, and spends tremendous amounts of time in the studio. While he loves flowers, you'll catch him on our Story often or snoozing while the rest of the team works away!

When I first met Klaudia not even two years ago, I was a little wary because she her business was so new. Sometimes even the most seasoned florists can be a little challenging to work with--difficult to reach, lack of clarity in proposals, etc.--so I had my guard up. However, Klaudia blew me away! Not only is she an incredibly talented designer, she's a true pro who is so on top of her game. She's the total package. I recommend her very highly and frequently bring clients to her because I know she will do an amazing job every time!

PROJECT 1952

5.0

  • Starts at $7,000
  • Serves Niles, MI

I love color and a well-curated day trip. I have a total obsession with plants and finding the best Spotify playlists. When I’m not flowering, you’ll probably find me thrifting for bespoke home finds, dominating 1500-piece puzzles, and scouring the internet for the next best concert in Chicago.

We used Project 1952 for our engagement party. We were so thrilled with the outcome. Naimah was so engaged and attentive to our vision for the day. She took our vision and made it come to life while using her own creativity. She arrived well ahead of time to get the room set up and the arrangements in place. She thought about every detail down to edible flowers and glitter in the ice cubes that had our guests raving. She was so easy to work with and went above and beyond what we had asked of her. We could not recommend her work enough! We will definitely be using her again!
