I am from a Persian background, and I wanted to have an American wedding while also implementing my culture. From the moment that I spoke with Marty, I knew he was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He has a calming and reassuring energy that not only assured me we could get any type of music we like, but he helped me plan my entire timeline. Every single time I had a concern, he would have a solution. He used an app that allowed me to add the music I wanted, including Persian music. At our walk-through, he worked with our other vendors to make sure the layout was perfect for us on our wedding day. Then finally on the wedding day we got to see how great he really is. Growning up on his father’s eclectic combination of soul music (Frankie Beverly & Maze , Erykah Badu), Funk (Parliament, Marvin Gaye), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with his own love for both hip-hop and video game music, DJ Motiv ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence.
