“We absolutely loved everything about our experience at Skyview. From the moment we toured the venue, our breath was taken away with the majestic scenic views of the Appalachia. Our decision was further cemented when we learned everything that was included in their wedding package, an incredible value that beat all of the other venues we visited by a significant margin. We don't want to ruin it for anyone, but honestly they could double their rates and it'd still be worth it. The support from the staff at Skyview (specifically Jenn, Hildegaard, and Ivan) both during the planning process and on the day of our wedding was prompt, thoughtful, and comprehensive. We have never gotten married before but we can't imagine working with a more professional staff that made our planning unbelievably seamless and stress-free. Brand new to the Estate is the Conservatory, a beautiful glass-enclosed building, that hosts the most magical cocktail hour! Crossed Keys Estate hosts weddings for 100 guests or more with a maximum of 275.

“This was our first time at Crossed Keys Estate, and from the moment we did our research, we knew we were in for something special. The estate’s 30 acres of history, with stunning gardens, towering 200-year-old trees, and a charming farmhouse, provide the perfect mix of modern and rustic elegance. One of our favorite aspects? The venue hosts just one wedding a day, so all the attention and resources are devoted to the couple—a huge plus for creating a seamless experience. From the beginning, Erika and Jeremy were so laid-back and excited to enjoy their day. The preparation spaces were perfect—the girls had a beautiful rustic farmhouse, while the guys had a spacious house just down the gravel road, complete with a golf green for a little fun before the festivities. We love incorporating multiple, and Crossed Keys Estate offered the perfect backdrop for each one. From the emotional bridesmaids' reveal to the heartwarming first look between Erika and her dad (we could feel the intensity of the moment from the sidelines), and finally, the groom's first look on the picturesque grounds—it was magical. The estate’s swing under the giant tree and the intimate reflection pond were standout spots for capturing stunning couple photos, tucked away from the crowd. The reception space was equally amazing. The modern hall, with floor-to-ceiling windows, allowed gorgeous natural light to flood the room, making for a perfect backdrop for the celebration and the sweetheart table. Working with Katrina, the Senior Venue Coordinator, was a breeze. Every request the couple had was thoroughly listened to, and the venue made sure the day flowed effortlessly for everyone involved. Everything was timed perfectly, the florals (created by the venue!) were stunning, and the food was exquisite. Every detail was executed flawlessly, ensuring the couple and their guests could enjoy the day without a single hiccup. Now that we’ve experienced Crossed Keys Estate firsthand, we can’t wait to return! Our creativity was sparked by the newness of the venue, but we’re also excited to bring that knowledge back for future weddings. “After attending a wedding at Perona Farms in 2021, my husband and I knew that we wanted to look there to host our wedding when we got engaged. We originally went to tour Perona with the intent of booking our wedding at the Refinery, but ended up falling in love with the look and feel of the Reserve. Leading up to the wedding we were matched up with an event coordinator who we didn’t have the best experience with. She was slow to respond to emails and questions, often not answering some of our questions if there were multiple questions asked, and sometimes provided incorrect or unclear information to us that we had to clarify multiple times. Besides that, our experience with Perona was completely seamless and we loved everyone that we worked with. Our ceremony coordinator (Anastasia) and maitre’d (Tommy) were absolutely amazing on the day of the wedding. Ana was literally picking pine needles out of my dress after we took pictures in the pines and was so kind, warm, and seemed truly excited to be part of our day. Tommy waited on us hand and foot during the reception and was always there if we needed a drink refill or had any requests. He waited until we sat down to serve us our dinners so that our plates weren’t sitting at the table and the food was served hot. He was attentive to the needs of our parents, as well. The morning of the wedding we used the Carriage House and Workshop for the bridal party to get ready. It’s a great space to utilize so that everyone in the bridal party can hang out and spend time together while getting ready with hair and makeup for the girls and pool/ping pong/darts/etc. for the guys. The girls were served breakfast and lunch as well as any drinks we wanted, and the guys were served lunch and drinks as well. The food at Perona Farms is unmatched as most of it is farm to table, with vegetables grown on the property and cheese and dairy sourced from a local dairy farm.”

“I am getting married here 12.14.24 and let me tell you I can not WAIT! As soon as my fiancé and I stepped foot on the premises we knew, this was the venue that was meant for us! It's has a modern rustic feel to it, the food is grown on premises and I had some at an open house and it was absolutely delicious. Also for the price, and how much is included it wild, was another selling point for us. We get to design our own centerpieces, they have their own cute table seating board, and we get a day of coordinator that will help us set up and much more. I hate sounding like an informercial but this venue is a beautiful gem and the more I plan the more excited I am to be getting married there! “From start to finish, Black Bear Golf Club was a dream to work with for our 10/14/23 wedding. Lee was the greatest wedding coordinator a couple could ask for. She dished out helpful advice and suggestions, answered all our questions, and was warm and friendly every step of the way. She was a source of calm on wedding weekend and we're so grateful for her expertise. The food at Black Bear is generous and delicious. Couples have so many tasty options to choose from and your guests will not leave hungry. The cake that Black Bear supplies from Calandra's is equally incredible. The reception area is spacious -- there's two bars, ample seating, and a large dance floor. The room for cocktail hour is a nice inside/outside space, with enough room for guests to spread out, enjoy each other's company, and take in the scenery. It poured on our wedding day, so we weren't able to use the outside ceremony area, but the staff did an incredible job setting up inside -- the extra decorations and touches they added made it feel just as beautiful. If you get married in fall like we did, prepare to be wowed but all of the pumpkins, gourds, mums, and harvest vibes. Of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the mountains -- our guests couldn't believe how breathtaking they were as the fog rolled in, and the gentle wisps of foliage sprinkled within. Net/net: Black Bear is affordable in terms of the wedding industry; the food is delicious and bountiful; the scenery is beautiful; and the staff is friendly and helpful. I've been replaying this wonderful day in my head endless since the big day. THANK YOU for everything!”
