A 16-year veteran of the NYC club scene. Marcus is incredibly responsive and professional. From our first meeting with him, we knew he was the right fit. He was on time for all our meetings and asked questions regarding details that we definitely wouldn't have thought of. The night of he played a significant amount of the songs we chose and kept everyone on the dance floor!

We worked with Tiffany C from Mostest. Firstly, she did all the unglamorous, necessary parts of managing vendors and didn't let anything slip through the cracks. Helped us compose a perfect run of show and checked not a single thing was forgotten. She also helped bring things to our attention where we had underthought our planned approach, helping create so many personal, special details for the eventual day. Tiffany was extremely personable and friendly and a joy to work with. Beyond the logistics, the advice on wedding etiquette and what was worth our time to focus on, she was also an island of calm with a strong perspective when details were flying like mad. On the day of she wrangled our family like a pro, setup our centerpieces, and was just generally a force of nature in being the schedule source of truth and making sure we had everything we needed to be happy all day. Really can't imagine what our wedding day would have been without her. Thank you Tiffany!!

Something Borrowed Blooms

4.9

  • Florist
  • Starts at $250
  • Serves New Lebanon, NY

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

The process of using something borrowed blooms was so easy. I loved that the flowers could be reused and that I wasn't going to spend thousands of dollars on flowers that would just be thrown away! They included the return label in the box with the flowers they shipped out, which was great because we did not have a printer at our destination wedding. All of our flowers were fake because I was also worried about the heat wilting our flowers. I only rented bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and a dog collar- but I wish I had rented my centerpieces as well! Amazing experience with SBB all around!

Fountainhead Floral Design

  • Florist

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Our wedding was held at Saltwater Farm Vineyard in June 2024. Kate was such a pleasure to work with and really brought our floral vision to life! I appreciated her free excel planning tools and how responsive she was from our first inquiry. After our first phone call, I realized that she is incredibly easy-going and down to earth, in addition to being well-organized. These are qualities you want in your wedding vendors. I have always loved florals and she helped me craft a vision that stayed within our budget. Our theme was coastal vineyard - I wanted the vibe to be loose & romantic without veering too rustic. She found this balance perfectly! On our wedding day, she arrived early and took care of everything quietly without a hitch! I didn't have to worry about a thing. I can't recommend Fountainhead Floral enough!

Marilyn Lamanna Photography

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves New Lebanon, NY

Hey there!! My name is Marilyn and I'm so glad you're here ♡ I am a couples + wedding photographer based in New York City, and happy to travel to wherever your day is at! I've had pink hair for the last 6 years so at this point it has become a personality trait and I'm 100% okay with it. I love the outdoors, pat every dog I can, and thrive on ben and jerry's. My ideal place to be would likely be frolicking in wildflowers in a dress that's way too long, but the longer the better. The patio of my NYC apartment with a good book is a close second favorite though, for sure.

Marilyn is a phenomenal photographer/person in general and you shouldn’t hesitate to book her - I’ve recommended her to basically everyone I know getting married or has even the most distant of plans to get married. She goes above and beyond the basic responsibilities of a photographer and genuinely loves documenting love. I hope to book her for literally anything in the future. She was the very first vendor we booked in our entire wedding planning process and set the bar waaaay too high for everyone else. She was one of the few vendors we reached out to that did an initial Zoom consultation. I think based on rom-coms I had this crazy idea in my head that wedding planning was done through in-person appointments, but I quickly learned most is done through emails and phone calls making it all feel a little impersonal. Our first meeting with Marilyn was amazing and it felt like she was really invested in learning about us as a couple and the type of photography experience/style we were looking for. Her kind and thoughtful personality led us to book her for our engagement shoot and wedding straight away. She definitely can meet you at whatever level of crazy you’re currently running at. For example, for our engagement shoot I had made a whole powerpoint of the types of shots I wanted as well as potential outfits. So detailed that I had test-run a NYC ferry ride and selected backdrops along the way. She insanely obliged to all my requests and the photographs are a beautiful homage to our neighborhood. I did a complete 180 by the wedding and I told Marilyn I trusted her artistic vision completely and had no shot list other than the groupings for formal portraits. The photographs came in while we were on our honeymoon and we were blown away by the gallery. Everything was beautifully photographed, edited, and curated. On the wedding day my husband and I were excited for our first look partially because we got to see each other, but also because it was a hang sesh with Marilyn. She is just a wonderful person who puts you at ease whenever you chat with her. Many guests complimented her work style in which she wasn’t intrusive during the ceremony, but was constantly snapping both candid and posed photos. We didn’t want our wedding to feel merely like a spectacle –we wanted it to be a gathering of all our loved ones, so Marilyn’s candid style was a perfect match for us.

Working with Miranda, Raquel, and Kylie was a true pleasure. Kylie assisted us at our rehearsal the day before our wedding, practicing the ceremony to ensure we understood the process and best practices for each bridal party member. Miranda and Raquel were there for us on our wedding date, helping set up decor, running to get breakfast for the bridal party, and being the point of contact with all our vendors. At one point, as the bride, I was getting overstimulated with all the pictures being taken in a short amount of time, and Miranda/Raquel had my back by making sure I had water and 30 minutes to center before our ceremony. I'd recommend Start Rose Creations to family and friends for any event.

Hey there, my name is Bailey! I am an artist, business woman, wifey, nerd, Brooklyn-ite, and matcha fiend who’s endlessly curious about the world around me. I strive to make the world better by capturing love authentically, spreading positivity & happiness, and supporting organizations that are doing the work to preserve our planet & enrich the lives of marginalized communities. With my whole heart, I unapologetically embrace inclusivity & all forms of love.

We are incredibly happy with our wedding photos! Bailey really has "the eye." Her artsy and elegant photos are magazine-worthy and really tell a story. If you're looking for the opposite of cheesy wedding photography, your search ends here. I was already quite certain I was going to book Bailey based on her portfolio alone, but the introductory video phone call sealed the deal. Bailey's warm and friendly personality really puts you at ease, and by the time our wedding day(s) (an elopement and later reception) arrived, it felt like we were having our pictures taken by a dear friend.
