Bazarr Blossoms

5.0

Frederick, MD
  • Starts at $1,500

My love for floral design began inside the horticulture classroom at my high school. That classroom played a pivotal role in allowing me to be creative in ways that I never had been before. When I left for college, My goal was to study business in order to operate my own Floral Business but I quickly lost track of that dream. The pandemic served as a wake up call for me just like it did for so many others. Allowing me to rediscover my love for flowers and all things beautiful. Bazarr Blossoms is more than a business its a passion that allows me to stay true to that teenager who once created and dreamed inside that high school classroom.

We recently had the absolute pleasure of working with Bazarr and we cannot express enough how much of an amazing experience it was. From start to finish, she perfectly executed our vision, turning our dreams into a breathtaking reality. Her creativity and attention to detail were evident in every arrangement, from the stunning bouquets, which literally brought me to tears, to the exquisite table centerpieces. Each piece was a work of art, capturing the essence of our style and the ambiance we wanted to create. The flowers were fresh, vibrant, and beautifully arranged, adding an unforgettable touch of elegance to our special day. What truly sets Bazarr apart, though, was her responsiveness and flexibility. Throughout the planning process, we had many changing ideas and evolving wants, and she handled everything with grace and patience. She listened carefully to our desires, offered invaluable suggestions, and adapted seamlessly to any adjustments we requested. Her professionalism and dedication were evident in every interaction, making the planning process smooth, enjoyable, and stress free- what more can you ask for!! We genuinely cannot imagine having a better experience with any other florist. Her talent, passion, and commitment to excellence made our wedding day so incredibly special. We are endlessly grateful for her hard work and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any couple looking for a florist who can bring their vision to life with unmatched skill and artistry. Thank you so much Bazarr for making our wedding day a floral masterpiece!

Jen is incredible and worth every penny! My husband and I weren't very sure about how we wanted our wedding florals to look. We also didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on flowers that would only last a day. We stumbled upon wood flowers and discovered Wood and Word Blooms! Working with Jen was wonderful and seamless. She helps you every step of the way to figure out what you would like. The DIY class was so much fun, and we were able to build all of our centerpieces, boutonnières, and bouquets. Jen also built my cascade bouquet and beautiful garland for us! Everything came out so beautifully and was perfect for our day. Thank you Jen!

Crooked Fence Farm

5.0

Parkton, MD
  • Starts at $1,000
  • Serves Midlothian, MD

Crooked Fence Farm is a family operation in Parkton, MD operated by Sarah and Billy McCarthy and supported by a skilled and dedicated team. We specialize in sustainable and seasonally grown blooms that will delight for any special occasion. Sarah is a former professional pastry chef with extensive experience in wedding and special event management. Uniting this expertise with our passion for sustainable growing practices, Crooked Fence Farm is the ideal option for an authentic, skillful, and magical floral component of your next event.

We can’t thank Sarah's team enough for creating such gorgeous florals and installations, even with a rain delay and plan B fully in effect. We appreciated her ability to ‘bring the outside in’ and it really felt like that. Sarah went above and beyond to make our floral dreams come true, all while respecting our budget and working hard to give us what we wanted. We loved supporting her business and her farm and working with her was a great experience with her positive attitude, passion, and vast knowledge of both florals and wedding planning. I wish I had more time to just stare at all of the little floral details at our wedding. The white ceremony columns with the white urns on top truly looked like an art installation; they were stunning. They were the perfect backdrop to our ceremony. THE STAIRCASE. I have never heard so many compliments. It was DREAMY. The tiny vines that spun around the railing. The ivy. The floral focal point at the bottom. It was better than I could have even imagined. It also smelled amazing and was the perfect place to do the wedding toasts, it will live forever in our videos and photos! The mantle installations also looked amazing (again something I wish I had more time to look at!!). THE PEONIES. It’s official that our wedding had a signature scent and it was PEONY! Which was also fitting since I wore peony perfume that day so now peonies will forever remind me of our wedding day which is so exciting for me because I love them. THE CENTERPIECES were perfect floating masterpieces just like I imagined. The combination of florals Sarah put together was classic but with an abstract/ organic twist and I loved all of the different unique buds in each one. The BOUQUETS turned out so beautiful. I loved how they were different but complimented each other so well. The shapes were so fun and you really got to see the color contrast which was perfect. 10/10 recommend working with Sarah for your wedding! (photos via @morganshootsfilm)
