The little yellow barn is a beautiful, rustic treasure that can host your reception. We offer outdoor & temperature controlled indoor facilities. Located on the property is a cozy house that has a bridal suite for getting ready. This 3 bedroom, 3 bath accommodation sleeps 10 and is perfect for the bride and her bridesmaids to stay overnight before the wedding. The venue is a luxurious and relaxing environment with several spaces for guests to explore. Our venue limits the amount of weddings we do in a weekend to make sure that you have a unique & special experience. The Evergreen Room, our banquet facility, is nestled in a beautifully landscaped hillside. The room features 15 ft. vaulted ceilings, cherry stained wood accents, and large windows that overlook our 27-hole golf course. The room can hold up to 250 guest for a plated reception or 220 for a buffet reception. Attached to the room is The Pub Bar. This large bar is penninsula shaped and served from 3 sides. There are several tables in the surrounding area for guests to easily gather around. You and your guests will have access to our spacious patio where the views of the golf course continue. This space can also serve as the perfect back drop for an on-site ceremony. The Evergreen Room offeres an adjoining Bridal Suite. Built in 1914 as a Vaudeville theater, the Mineral Point Opera House was restored in 2009. It is both a movie theater and a live stage with music and theater events throughout the year. We can customize our stage lighting to set the perfect scene, pull out our 1930s Steinway piano to play the wedding march, and open our concession stand to serve popcorn and drinks!

In 1976, Hugh and Jody Deery had established themselves as greats in Midwest short track race promoting. With their large plot of land in Loves Park, just miles north of Rockford already housing Rockford Speedway, they asked themselves what's missing? The answer was affordable quality banquet space! Thus the idea for the Forest Hills Banquet was born. Construction began in 1977 and was completed in 1978. The annual Rockford Speedway Banquet was one of the first events held in the newly constructed "Lodge" and we are proud to have played a part in many wonderful celebrations in the years which have followed.
