What I didn't realize was that he would be so incredibly attentive to our needs throughout the day - handing us drinks, fans, etc. Drew and his partner Stephanie were so kind and fun, they stayed on top of all the wedding activities we wanted to include. We made our music preferences VERY clear (ie: we had an extensive Do Not Play list) and we found out later from a guest that he was very strict about song requests throughout the evening because of those preferences and we so appreciate that. “Philip and Good Musicians were truly incredible for our wedding! They provided the string duo for our ceremony, the guitarist during cocktail hour, and a 7 piece band including a male and female singer. Our guests even commented how good the guitarist was during cocktail hour! They played a wide variety of music including Spanish music, classics, country, alternative, pop etc., and nailed every song! They also did the Hora for us as well. The singers (male singer-Philip is the band manager) and the female singer sounded amazing live! The band and the DJ during the band breaks kept the energy alive all night. “Mike brought expert level attention to detail, along with a great feel for the vibe of our reception. First, he was very informative in our initial discussions, providing direct answers to each of our questions, and giving us an easy to fill in Google Doc for our input. He met with us and our event coordinator to discuss timeline and go over our preferences for certain parts of the ceremony. On the day of he was set up and ready to go for our cocktail hour, and by the time we entered for our first dance he had our (normally very shy) friends and family bumping with energy. During the first dance he kept an eye out for me to signal to wrap up our song a little early (nobody wants to hear a long instrumental outro...). He then proceeded to do a great job of MC'ing our dinner and toasts. Then our party was a complete blast. He expertly weaved in our recommendations with his own song picks. This was no small feat since our wedding featured a combination of American and South Indian cultures, meaning that he had to blend in a number of songs that were most likely new to him. Overall it went really well, with both of our dads having an amazing time, and our friends grouping up for some of the bigger tracks. He closed the night with a special intro to our closer song (Daft Punk's One more time) and everyone was asking for more (unfortunately venues have strict closing times). So, we would highly recommend for the professionalism, organization and ability to keep track of the party's mood as the night went on.”

“Josh had our whole wedding dancing all night. With really creative mixing, he was able to blend in so many different genres seamlessly. Most importantly, he was really attuned to the crowd's energy and was great about knowing when to play a song in full and when to just tease us with quick samples. If you're looking for someone who really listens to what you want, instead of playing just the same 30 songs you hear at every wedding, Josh is your DJ. The music selection process is easy - in addition to check-in calls and zooms, he uses an app, so you can build you can craft the perfect playlist ahead of time. We both really enjoyed adding songs to our app throughout the planning process. But the best was actually hearing the way he was able to combine so many of our favorite songs for our reception party. He had all our of guests (ages ranging from 10 to over 80 years old) dancing all night long. Our first comment from friends the day after our wedding was about how fun they had on the dance floor and how great the music was! I also think its important to add that Josh handled our wedding ceremony music, cocktail music, dinner music and sparkler exits as well- he provided mics, sounds systems, everything we needed, and all of those were executed perfectly. He was on time for set-up, very respectful of the rules/guidelines in places at our historic venue, and he collaborated really well with our other vendors to make sure everything looked and sounded perfect. Also he is just the nicest guy- really responsive on email and genuine- which was so, so appreciated during tho last few chaotic months of wedding planning. 10/10 - highly recommend.”

“We just had our wedding this past Saturday at The Palms Hotel & Spa and it was a roaring success! A huge part of that was due to Pheniks Sound & Lights Plus. They made selecting our music for the evening a breeze, through their App you can clearly label what songs to play and when. What I loved about their services is that you can choose how much you want to stick to your playlist or let the professionals add songs of their own. You can also mix and match what you need—For a wedding of 120, we selected their 1st package option and then added extra lights and a photo booth. The lights were used to light up our first dance in front of the gazebo outside, I was worried that even with the lights it would be too dark but it was everything I had dreamed of. The photo booth added that extra element of flair toward the end of the night when you needed a break from the dance floor. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the flow of the evening, thanks to our MC Henry who ushered folks from space to space with his silky voice. Every step along the way they were communicative, easy to work with, professional and fun! We are so grateful we chose them for our special day”
